Ich bin eine Chinesin und jetzt möchte endlich Schwizerdeutsch lernen, weil früher ich nur Hochdeutsch gelernt und danach mit meinem Mann und andere Schweizer auch nur auf Hochdeutsch gesprochen habe . Ich habe kürzlich immer Ihre Videos geschaut, und viel gelernt. Ich finde, dass Sie eine sehr sympathische Lehrerin und sogar die beste . 😊 Danke vielmals !❤

Thank you for the lessons. Trying to digest a small amount in case I can visit before the year is over. But when I hear myself it's not so good. I feel I can pronounce standard German better as an English speaker.

I'm sure you're doing fine! And Swiss people will love your English accent :) so don't worry about not pronouncing it 100% correctly.

In the sentence "mümmer chli gnüsse dusse," I understand the role of most of the words. mir (wir) mussen (chli) geniesen drausen. But what role does "chli" play? Is it the same as the high german "klein?" So would that then be like saying, "Yes, we must enjoy it (a bit) outside?" or something?
@SwissGermanBeginners
@SwissGermanBeginners 2 жыл бұрын
Translated word by word it would be "We must a bit enjoy outside". So "chli" is "a bit". And "mümmer" is "we must". So it's "We must enjoy it outside a bit." or just what you said is fine too.

"Swiss people don't like small talk" I completely disagree, I live in a WG with Swiss and they are sitting outside every evening for hours on end chatting on and on, I can't even keep up

I have a question about saying "ja, ja". Is that actually rude to say that? I heard it means something like "kiss my a**", but I hear so many people say that. Is that more about how you say it? I'll be obliged...
@SwissGermanBeginners
@SwissGermanBeginners 2 жыл бұрын
Yes exactly, it really depends on how and when you say it. But in any case, I don't think it's rude. Usually it's used to agree with someone. But it can also be used to show that you don't believe what the other person is saying.
