You don't want things to pop. You want it to look natural, you want to achieve the most authentic experience possible, you need to make sure the whites are perfectly white, not too blue or too yellow, just in the middle, snd the blacks to be perfectly black, not slightly grey. The sky, grass and peoples skin tones should also look accurate to ehat our eyes would see in life, you get the idea...

@VALLESSARIUS They are whites and black colors are perfect and all the greens reds and yellows purples all pop. I personally don't like the directors cut natural. It looks dull to me. If I'm spending 3K on a tv I don't want it to look like the neighbors 200 tv that looks natural I wana turn it on and have it put my ass in the seat and holy shit that looks like I'm right there. You don't get that with natural or director's cut. Again every one is different that's why they have 5 different settings.

Is this really true? I was planning to by a samsung 2022 model today later and I own an iphone. Guess I will broaden my horizon tonight at the tv shop and look for alternatives then

@@orwellianyoutube8978 You can still calibrate the tv, but you need to manually play around with the settings and get the picture you desire. This is still an amazing tv, I think there's more value than the A95K, though the Sony tvs will always have better black values. I tried looking for a solution and Samsung hasn't provided a work around to use Smart Calibration on iOS.

@@millabasset1710 I have to ability to use Samsung Smart Calibration on the IOS SmartThings app, but the default- vs "calibrated" settings look identical. Using S95B and iPhone 13 Pro Max

@@Loui3Hunna I've contacted Samsung support and there's no resolution yet. I love this TV though, even with the contrast enhancer on high, I don't have issues watching movies. It's also significantly cheaper than the A95K.

Thanks for this, but the intelligent mode turns off when you do the smart movie calibration? Is the calibrated version still allowing the intelligent mode AI to still operate? Or do you lose intelligent mode all together? What's better? Intelligent mode or movie calibrated? Do I only use the calibrated movie mode when I watch movies then anything else turn intelligent mode and let it do it's magic. Sorry for the novel but I wanna understand why intelligent mode turns off, I feel like I'm losing out on its function

The Adaptive Picture part of Intelligent Mode would need to be off. You can still use the calibrated settings along with the audio benefits of intelligent mode, you just can’t use adaptive picture with movie/calibrated mode.

"Filmmaker mode". Brightness: 36. Contrast: 45. Color: 25. Tint: 0. Sharpness: 0. ------------------------------------ "Movie (Calibrated)". Brigthness: 37. Contrast: 45. Color: 25. Tint: 0. Sharpness: 0. In the "Movie(Calibration)" mode it has just 1 point more in brightness. And in Filmmaker mode it has just 1 point less in brightness.
