Really enjoyed this one boss, will likely save to rewatch - please don't limit your output on the grounds you have "done this before"... us non-pros need reminding again and again, I enjoy watching great craftsmanship and every car, colour and paint type is different, personally I can watch this type of movie on any aspect of car care repeatedly on different vehicles...Thanks again for your work, superb 👍👏👏👏

No doubt in my mind, the old tried and tested methods work, a totally invisible repair, well done. I hope many other dealers, or even private owners, who don't have access to a spray booth, and other professional equipment, have the gonads to try this ! Once again you have excelled Johnny boy, a very professional result.

Great video. I have just repaired holes drilled in my p38 body for the light guards using the same approach (but welded the holes first). You can still see the colour difference as it’s new paint versus 25 year old paint but other than that it’s worked well.

Great video, having been involved with paintwork/bodyshop work, my only concern without primer over the filler it will suck the paint and there will be the filler patch visible after 6-12months particularly in black where it gets hot in the sun.

This is an amazing result as these types of repairs can stand out a mile on a big panel like this! ❓Quick question ❓what lacquer do you use with the airbrush? Is it a hardener kind of setup or an all in one? Cheers for sharing this method, youve taught me a lot from your content 😊👍🏻

I’m glad to hear my content is helping you out! I have used 1K clear coat in the past but have found it to be a little soft (although it can be used to great effect), but in this instance I used a 2K clear (so clear coat plus hardener) 👍

What compound and polish do you use? Love the vids where you show in depth how to do these things, keep up the good work

I use 3M fast cut compound (link in description if you want some), and generally I use turtle wax hard shell polish after a cut like I did here 👍

Couple questions please 🙏 What mix for the paint in an airbrush system? What about nozzle size? Could I use one of the airbrush kits that includes the small compressor aswell ?? Been really keen to give this a go for a while and not much out there surprisingly Thanks in advance

They use proper automotive paint (solvent base with thinners in my case)

This one is still evading me actually, although I have used the Range Rover loads lately (including heavy towing work), and it is absolutely flawless to drive so it’s a real mystery. I have a few more tricks up my sleeve to try yet though and I plan to detail the next steps in a video so stay tuned for that!

So you own a paint booth, with air extraction, paint mixing kit and all the rest of the gubbins, plus 30 odd years experiance, good for you. I do think however you are entirely missing the point of this video.
