One thing worth mentioning in a snap start discussion is that others a lot if you know how to bind a really slow spinning Yoyo. When you start (and Brandon that may be a long time for you) the spin will be to slow for your bind to bring the Yoyo to the hand. What I do (I am still in this case) is when the bond start I throw the Yoyo up in the air so it can wind without having to go against gravity. Then I catch it.

In competition where you need speed, belly button height, but on average bottom of your sternum height. Brazilians lately have really extended that to arm span or even more! Basically, you want to hone in on which style you like most; A-Line, Slack, Competition, Picture tricks, etc. Then pick your string length from there. If I were you, I would do the bottom of your sternum height because it's a happy medium.

There was one thing that made this work for me after days of practice without success: popping the yoyo up after mounting for the bind but before releasing the loop from my non-throw hand. Hope this helps someone else.

Hi Brandon, Could you maybe make a tutorial on doing suicides? Many high-level tricks seem to involve a suicide or a similar movement and getting the slack to open up wide enough seems to be a recurring problem.

My string twists around itself really easliy. When i throw a sleeper and bind it up once the slacked wire will already twist around itself if held side by side. I have to take the wire of my finger and try to remove the tension after almost every throw. Why is this :>?

That's means you're throwing it incorrectly. When you throw it down, make sure you're holding the YoYo string up in your hand, and make sure you throw straight down aligned with your middle finger.
