Hello, I tried a little bit of softbaiting in the canals with no success but I would recommend you give it a try and use a light jighead! I fished the canals a few weeks ago and caught 2 fish using a spinner so you could also give that a try!

Depend the flow, from 1/8oz to 32oz, fast flow heavy jig, slow flow light jig.

Hi there the canals typically fisher better in Autmn through to spring, there are less people there , the flow is better and the fish are more active. Cheers
