Helpful video -- I'm curious, can you see any difference in color between the solder used and the steel? Because they are composed of different metals? I'm thinking about tightening a steel ring of mine and then soldering it to close it up

Thanks! I use different polishing compounds with a dremel to give the stainless & soldier a mirror polish. I can't see a difference. I hope this helps.

Thank you! I'm glad you found it useful. When you say stainless chains you mean jewelry right? If so then yes it's strong. Just make sure you get it hot enough so you don't get cold solder joints.

Yep I think as long as you get a good soldier joint it will hold fine. Just prep the surfaces & use a good hot iron.
