Thank god I literally just ordered a square 1 and JPerm doesn’t have a tutorial on it.
@cfoples3 жыл бұрын
J perm doesn't do square-1 lol, there are a lot of good tutorials including (I'm sure) Tingman, Z3cubing, Cube Master (most underated square-1 channel IMO but quite advanced) and more.
@cfoples3 жыл бұрын
@Albert’s Universe he "knows" He's figured it out himself and solved it like a few times, enough to be able to solve it, but it would be extremely inefficient to teach this to others, most of whom probably have far less cube knowledge than J Perm.

If you take the bottom two edges to the left, and bring the 2 single edges down on the right leaving the 4 on top to leave scallop, you’ll have scallop kite which goes to fist fist, kite kite, cube shape

Thank you so much for posting this, I bought my brother a square one not knowing that he didn't enjoy them, so I ended up with it. Up until that point I had never considered getting a square one for myself, and thanks to you and this video I can now solve a square one with very little help. The algorithms are odd to me because I know regular cubes (3x3, 4x4, 5x5, and variations of them), so getting used to slashes is a little bit interesting but fun regardless. I never thought that I would enjoy solving a square one and enjoy scrambling it so much, I highly recommend it to anybody that wants a challenge.
@NinjaCuberrАй бұрын
I, before going to my last comp and purchasing a square one cube cover for no good reason except to support someone, had no motivation whatsoever to learn square one. This weekend though, I kicked it into overdrive. Everything mentally for me surrounded that puzzle, and I managed to learn it in 22 hours and 48 minutes, counting the 5 or so hours it took me to sleep. In that time, I managed to memorize all the algorithms in this video, and got the EP parity algorithm down in an hour and a half. My friend who has been pushing me to learn this puzzle has no idea, so it’ll be fun casually solving it right next to him on Wednesday. Thank you so much for this tutorial and your help!

Love this tutorial! Finally you make the Andy Kise algs work for me. Interestingly this is because you don't follow them exactly, but you fix them as you demo them. For instance, the CP Diag/Diag case, Andy writes it as /(3,-3)/(3,-3)/ (which doesn't work) but you do it as /(-3,3)/(3,-3)/ (which does work). There are other examples as well. Your description of the basics at the beginning was great, but as soon as you get into the algorithms it departed from a beginner tutorial. I cobbled together a method that only uses 3 algorithms, with the most complicated one being the adjacent/adjacent edge swapper. It won't win any awards for efficiency or speed, but it's way easier to remember and way easier to grasp than the onslaught of algorithms you present here.
