Thank you so much for this video. I was frustrated that even purchasing extra original cable for Rs. 550 of my samsung mobile, it was not connecting in my brand new Altroz. So as per your instructions I cleared cache and uninstalled updates from Android Auto and reinstalled it. Also reset the factory setting from Altroz system setup. It is working without any fail. It is working for Apple carplay for another iphone as well.

Yes it's Bluetooth connection that tells the head unit it's connected.So Bluetooth connection is must.

It's a hybrid connection (wired and wireless). In my case, I have disabled wireless Android Auto due to frequent disconnection issues and am now connecting via wired, which connects flawlessly. I will try your method and check if disconnections happen or not.

Check your Android Auto app on your phone . Try to uninstall the updates and reinstall . Then try again to see if it solves. Actually I feel the connection between your head unit and phone is lost when there is a call.

Check that your car's battery has good health. Sometimes when the battery is about to die, the car does this kind of stuff. If you're sure that is not the battery, or you replace it and the problem persists, check the Voltage and Amperage provided by the car's USB port when not in use, and when you honk. If the voltage decreases when you honk, your problem is a honk too big for the car's electrical system, a wiring problem or a recent change wich is causing the car to use more energy than the total amount the alternator is able to provide (lights, aftermarket accesories, audio setup, etc.).
