Did it in my head: 1) I wrote the denominator as 3 x 9^9 2) cancelled this 9^9 with one of the 9^9 in the numerator . 3) rewrote numerator as 9^18 and denominator as 9^(1/2) 4) 9^(18-1/2) = 9^17.5
