How to solve Quadratic Equations on a Casio Calculator (FX-85GT Plus)

In this video I will teach you a method that lets you solve quadratic equations on a Casio FX-85GT Plus (this method works for all FX series calculators but some like the FX-991ES Plus have a built in function that is easier than this method)
By the end of this video you will be able to save variables to the calculator and use these variables (accessed with the alpha button) to solve quadratic equations easily.

This would be useful if the actual formula was stored in the calculator, but if you have to store/assign values THEN type out the formula, you might have well just entered in the formula with the actual numbers. I know the FX 115-es has a solver

Good but the Quadratic Equation is B^2 in the Square Root, so you need to Square that in the B^2-4AC, I think you have put B-4AC

A cool trick but honestly a waste of time because you still have to type out the quadratic equation. It's far simpler to just type the equation once with the correct values for A, B and C in brackets. Then after you get your answer for '+' go back and edit the equation to ' - '. You still type the equation but save time storing the values for each constant.

for Cassio fx-300ES PLUS, enter the following into the fraction function: (-b)+(√(b^2)-(4*a*c))/(2*a) on top part of fraction enter: (-b)+(√(b^2)-(4*a*c)) on bottom enter: (2*a) the repeat for (-)

Im not sure if i understand why this is even useful xD. please help me, like to even do this method you need to type in the quadratic formula anyways but in the terms of A,B, and C; Why not just type in the quadratic formula with your numbers and skip the entire 1-STO-A 5-STO-B -2-STO-B process. Seems like an extra pointless step to me.
