Thank you! The pedal was sustaining while I was playing but changed completely during playback. Pretty frustrating since I am new to midi. I just put the bar to 100% and it seems to work fine now

I hope you can try this on studio one artist. There is signal from the pedal but it is not read by the DAW. I am using carbon 49 with an analog sustain pedal and the carbon 49 is connected via USB to my PC. Thanks!

Thanks for the video! I tried and it worked for 1 project and then not for the next, even repeating the same steps. So I just deleted the Midi controller from the list (in Preferences), added again and now it's working fine. This is some kind of weird bug.

Thanks very much , i am just trying the Studio one prime one and had the same prob even though sustain was working in latest garage band , but garage band is no good for good old fashioned punch in vocals with out a glitch , unless you do the drop in vocal on a separate track , but studio one drops in and out one word on the fly with no problem , its like there's no perfect DAW like no perfect camera ha ha , cheers , and subscribed

Hi, I heard so many different issues with the Midi/sustain pedal. There is some additional info on the Presonus site: shorturl.at/cuCRT however it may be worth just checking your midi keyboard/device isn’t creating any problems, it’s worth a quick look…

Hi, many pedals do this, in fact many pedals are designed to do this as thy mimic a piano. For example: from left to right you have soft, sostenuto and sustain. In many DAW’s you are able to reverse the way in which the pedal operates, you may either find it in the preferences page or in the midi section. In addition it can also be found in you keyboard or controller settings page. Finally have a quick look on Amazon, you’ll notice some pedals are designed to be “in reverse” therefore you can purchase one that isn’t in reverse. But in the first instance check your DAW and keyboard settings page, I'm sure you'll be able to find the answer there bro. Hope this helps..

I'm having a different issue with my sustain pedal. If I sustain a chord, it'll work, but then it will stop sustaining even when the pedal is pressed down. BUT, it'll still record the pedal as normal. Weird.

I think, but can’t be sure that many of these issues have been addressed in there the release, V6. Before you say it I know it is very expensive, I’m not sure the upgrade fee is pitched at the right price but I do think it may have fixed some of the historic problems. Just as a side note, do check your keyboard’s midi setup/config to rule out any config issues. Thanks for the comment, much appreciated.

@@SoundkandyStudio I'm already on V6 due to having Sphere. Keyboard is set to channel 1 as was done in the video. I might reach out to PreSonus if I can't figure it out, and possibly report it as a bug.

Si está grabando, tal vez sea una configuración en su teclado, suena un poco extraño. ¿Está utilizando un controlador MIDI o un teclado a través de un din de 5 pines en lugar de un teclado a través de un conector USB..?

@@SoundkandyStudio No, I can't get it to work. I think I have to reinstall Studio 1 and try default settings. I play a piano plugin in standalone with a pedal and it works. Love Studio 1 but this hassle with the pedal is baffling.

How can I upload mainstage sounds into studio one?

HI, Wow, that a great question but it really depends on what parts of MainStage you’d like to get access to and how you like to use it. MainStage is an Apple product and as such the virtual instrument component of the product will be using AU. If you want to use the instruments simply locate them in Mac HDD > Library > Audio> Plug-in> Components try and load them into your DAW. Hope this helps.
