can you please say where I should rotate the cube before I do the algorithms for the switching method for ex.: my front was the flipped center piece from right wing to left wing, so before the you must rotate it and faced it to the right
@julioreyesortiz27194 жыл бұрын
and also what is the use of parenthesis, it is kind of confusing to me... thanks hope you reply on me sir thanks a lot
@ChrisBandyJazz4 жыл бұрын
@@julioreyesortiz2719 Don't worry about the parentheses. They don't change what you have to do. They just mark out commutators, which are groups of moves of the form A B A' B'. Commutators are an important part of puzzle-solving algorithms, and they are often finger-trickable, so the parentheses merely serve to highlight them. Plus if you want to do a group of moves twice, for example (R U R' U') you can just write (R U R' U')*2 instead of writing the commutator twice.

The end of this video, around 28 min, where he just says, "You got it from here, solve it like the 3x3!" then just zips it and calls it a day, SHOULD have said... You solve it from here like any 3x3 cube you're solving from start to finish. Looking at one face, assume the corners are the same as the corners of the 3x3. And the middle 3 cubes TOGETHER on the top, bottom, and each side equate to the the individual middle pieces on the 3x3. With that assumption in mind, you can solve it from around the 28:30 min mark like you would any 3x3. Think of them as those blocks on the 3x3 and solve it like any other, just remember, the center boxes you built in step 1 now equate to the single middle block of the 3x3. Do NOT turn any of these at any time for any reason in this last step and you're good to go. (The above last bit of explanation I found in another video that didn't blow it off at the end.) If you think of it this way, you can solve the 5x5 from about the 28:30 mark on just like any 3x3 cube.

@30ART54 жыл бұрын
It would be nice if you left the algorithms up while you spun the cube around. You have experience solving them, but a newbie to a 5x5 is going to be a lot slower. It is easy to forget a complex algorithm you've only seen for a few seconds, and it is a pain trying to go back to it and then find your place in the video again.
@ChrisBandyJazz4 жыл бұрын
Sorry about that and thank you for the comment. A couple suggestions would be to pause the video as soon as the algorithm appears, or to look in the description where I have all the algorithms written down. (not sarcasm)
@30ART54 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisBandyJazz I paused it multiple times. Then got lost multiple times. I probably should have checked the description, but I had it playing on my tv while my phone was charging, so I didn't know it was there. Thank you for the reply.
