The rise of incelibate men and women's increasing standards is massively underrated as a cause of the declining birth rate. All the factors you discussed "it's too expensive" etc. only come into play when you have the OPTION to have kids. More and more men are locked out of the dating market and therefore denied the ability to reproduce. Meanwhile, women are casually hooking up with the same men in relationships that are not serious enough to consider having kids, and most would rather die alone than start a family with a man they see as below them.

The polls is the only available data unfortunately. While I do agree what you’re saying is true it’s just not going to come out in the polls. Women are hardly going to say “I haven’t had kids because I’ve been sleeping around throughout my teens and 20s”

The problem with time is also linked to money. A single income household can barely survive, if at all. I live with my long-time partner, and would consider having children if he earned more money, so I could stay at home with them. But in our current situation, it would not be possible, and where I live kindergarden is SO expensive that half a salary would go into it. So I would work the same, not see my children, AND lose half a salary to have them stay some place strange? No thanks, I prefer my life as it is now.

Your tax break proposal is what used to be called a "bachelor tax" (which didn't just apply to men). History shows it will not work. The food stamp and extra curricular ideas would more likely become a social credit system which uses Central Bank Digital Currencies which would force people to do what they are told or face financial and social consequences. Like what has been introduced in China. Such as logging and grading food purchases, whether someone frequently goes to the gym or partakes in social and active community activities. The thing is, this is very illiberal and authoritarian.
@icarojose6316
@icarojose6316 Жыл бұрын
It's not illiberal and authoritarian. in Brazil people on welfare need to prove their kids are on school and vacinnated (not covid vaccine), in Switzerland you must to prove you're still on school every 6 months in order to get government's money. If society agrees that doing sports is as important as going to school and so it's a valid prerequisite for welfare.

I'm actually ok with people not having children if they don't want to. I'm lucky that my parents really wanted me, but some kids aren't so lucky. Leave parenthood to the people who are willing to sacrifice for it, rather than pushing people to a lifestyle they ultimately don't want.
@NerdlySquared

It’s not actually that simple, those same people (in theory unaffected by their own singular decisions) will be deeply and directly affected by the cumulative effects of a crumbling, aged out, top heavy civilization, as every social and economic support system unravels around them. For the people who want kids as well. There will be no unaffected parties in this particular scenario. Ship goes down with everyone, at least in terms of standards of living people are used to now. No one forced people to have kids before, it was just a social/religious expectation that was socially rewarded. Rewards are gone, expectations are gone, people are increasingly gone too.

I agree with this, women mate up and across dominance hierarchy, this includes socioeconomic hierarchy and genetic hierarchy* (as unconformable it's sound), we can't fight biology, the fact that we all here is because a woman found a man suitable for the continuity of his genes. Female conceled ovulation alowed her to certain extend choose with who to mate, again we can't fight biology at expenses of detrimental results. Back to my first point which states that women wouldn't breed with males who perceived inferior in one or two of those described traits, they rather not reproduce if the outcome it's more likely to result in uncompetitive offspring.

I could never accept them for what I want in a family. I LOOK 25 and teach high school. I'm 6'1" and lift heavy 5 days a week. I weigh 190 lbs. I have the typical body that women tend to be attracted to. The school powerlifting coach tried to recruit me last month because he thought I am a student. Doesn't sound TOO bad, right? Yet these chickas be picky AF. I'm pretty much being dumped by a 35 year-old fat chick who told me I can still f*ck her, but she can't commit to me otherwise. She demands to be nonmonogamous. That sickens me. Obviously I'm not good enough. Once again, she is fat, I am above her in appearance. She was once thinner and hotter. And no, she doesn't even want children, though two years ago she asked me if she can still see me if I find a woman to have children with. Once yet again, I will remind you, she's fat. It's not even as good as it sounds. Fat chicks are super stuck-up and still not happy with men out of their league.

It is almost impossible not to fall into the selfish category in individualistic modern societies. Sadly, East Asia that are stereotypically perceived to be more community driven isn’t spared from the selfish mindset and is even doing worse than many western countries. Many Asians are just sick and tired of parental and social pressures, hence are going full hermit. The money for having children thing does not work. Polish government has introduced a welfare program called 500+ in 2015, where each family would receive 500 PLN (roughly 100 bucks) per months per every underage child they have. It did not raise the fertility rate at all. Instead, it made people demand more and more welfare, plus it put a bad stigma on having children, as many low class people would pop multiple kids and live off welfare.

I think they want women to have kids so they can have children to prey on. I have two and I see the corruption and have to deal with so much bs brainwashing of certain people. The problem is that most women only start to look for long term partners when their look start to "hit the wall" at around 30 which subsequently means that the chads are not interested anymore as they are still going for 21 year olds in the prime of their looks. Since females become less fertile in their 30s they are less likely to have kids. This combined with a decline in moral standards makes for a serious demographic problem. if you are a normie then best try to make some money (to become more attractive) and bag a 7/10 and have kids with her before she ages too much.

I don't have kids because I don't fit the criteria in what women want nowadays, I can't compete against the dudes that they see in their algorithms so I don't get selected. Also I don't really have a way to meet women other than street approach or going out to the bar/club scene, which both have been massive failures for me; I almost always get a "I have a boyfriend" or cold response. I'm in real good shape from years of lifting, well groomed, have an above average job etc but it ain't enough. ☠️
@kofiboateng9181
@kofiboateng9181 Жыл бұрын
As ironic as it sounds, You should focus on niche maxxing. You like lifting? Try to get a group together that focuses on lifting or join a group that is co-ed. If you like your job, find co-ed groups to join around that. The thing that stands out to me the most when guys like myself say, "I cannot find a women" or "I do not fit the criteria" usually stems to one or two things Location: Location plays a big part. Club/Bar scene is usually time for unwinding and would seem like a great place to find someone, especially back in the old days. But usually now, it is filled with a lot of people in situationships and or girls who have boyfriends but are going out with their girlfriends (This usually entails that they run in packs usually 3+, so you too have to run in pack otherwise its they pack controls the situation), so it is ultimately not ideal as it is usually dark, and loud. So, looks have the most dominant affect here Timing: The timing for when you meet someone plays such a big factor that is overlooked by a lot of dudes. This usually entails "how you met them", and "when did you meet them". If you tried picking up a girl on the way home from after the club at 2am when the mood is "everything is close, its time to go home" then your pool of women is vary scarce and the girl youre gonna attract is one who is more promiscuous than other (not too loose but loose enough) which is actually too bad if shes actually just into you. I try to focus on the timing more than location for myself, but good luck out there

Reasons why I haven't started a family (yet), I'm 36. Cost- rather than the selfish reasons stated in this video my motivations are selfless. Meaning I want a better life for my kids than I had, not that I had a bad childhood. Both my parents worked full time and we were middle to lower middle class. I'd often hear my parents argue and stress about money, my parents divorced in my early teens. Upbringing- again I want better for my children than I had it. Though I am very grateful growing up in the US, it is not what it once was. America as a country has peaked and is in a clear decline by all metrics. Everything here is designed to produce slaves. My parents were slaves and I am a slave. I refuse to perpetuate this cycle to service the owners. Mate selection- as mentioned already in other comments the economics of the current dating market are absurd and unsustainable. The "sexual market value" of women here today is hyper inflated. You are paying many multiples, sometimes exponentially more for a mate of significant less quality. Despite what the mainstream says we men are not stupid. Quite the opposite. It is simpler than the reasons stated. The old and rich have bought all the property by exploiting low interest rates. Property is now unaffordable for most young people, most well paying jobs have been offshored or automated so paying extortionate rents is also unaffordable and new builds are grim rabbit hutches. And housing Benefit will not cover most rents. Since having a family whilst "sofa surfing" is impractical, most people no longer have the option of having children. Landlords could be compared to large trees covering the forest allowing for no further growth. The complete destruction of the welfare state under the Tories makes it risky and irresponsible to have children unless you are a super-rich power couple. People are not being selfish, they are being kind not to bring children up they can't afford to feed or house.

The only three issues with this I see are: 1. This is based on the assumption that more, but not all, people have children to make up for the lacking birthrate. If everyone did this, which almost 99% would given the insane benefits you mentioned, then barely any money would make it to food companies and all the other expenses that were given to intact families. Who would pay them to go around then to sustain this? The government? Well they get their money from taxes, something tou specifically said you want to deminish extremely for intact families which would sky rocket if this was implemented given the selfish insensitive you suggested. So 99% intact families, 99% of the population of said country with barely any taxes, no taxes leads to insanely miniscule amounts of money to the people that need to be payed to sustain all systems needed to sustain such a family oriented country. Is it possible? Yes. Would it be insanely difficult to manage financially though? Also yes. 2. What makes food "healthy"? I'm suggesting there no foods with clear nutrition and health benefits, but anything in too high amounts can be bad. Fruit sugar in fruits is obviously healthier than regular sugar, but an extreme amount of fruit means practically the same health problems. If you make these foods cheap as crap for families then they will follow the usual human instinct and buy insane amounts of it because they can, just like toilet paper during (((you know what))) etc. I'm not saying they will feed it all to their kids, but can you make sure they do without monitoring it? Furthermore if all families want to buy in big bulka like this, which they more than likely will, we once again need EVEN more money payed by tax to cover the INSANE demand increase because of the prive decreas. ALSO to add on top of this issue, once again there technically is no such thing as healthy foods, it all depends on how it's made and it what amount. Chicken is great in itself, but can you, once again without invading privacy and monitoring, ensure that the chicken thst was purchased is not going to be super greasy crispy grilled chicken with all kinds of fatty goodness and that the child also eats a good portion? Sure that's on the parents and not the government, but are we going to take away rights from families depending on if the child in said family is a little under or overweight to make sure they eat right? I'm just confused how we will deterine what food is healthy or not because anything is anything really, it all depends. If we make all food available then, we have the American issue mentioned in the video, if we make selective choices for foods then do we also have selective laws on what recipes are allowed in families? Because again, even a burger can technically be healthy, the amount of them and proportions of things in them is what make them problematic. 3. The, mentioned a lot in the comments, Chad and hookup culture issues that you have covered extensively on your channel I already. People below talk about it and bring up good points on how women in your described ideal world in this video would then be forced to stick with average men, sure this would be awesome for average men like me but women would more than likely complain constantly, be overall unhappy which would influence the child most likely AND infidelity and such would sky rocket along with paternity fraud where average men will raise Chad babies etc. Sure the last one could be solved by mandatory DNA testing upon birth, but the others are more complicated. Not trying to make a "gotcha" moment here, I'm genuinely curious on your take on this "critique" I guess we could call it. A follow up video would ve extremely appreciated as this topic is peak important honestly for the human race as a whole. I myself had an idea of how we could solve the housewife issues by paying women to be mothers making it a job with retirement benefits etc and have everyone have big sustainable single life incomes that get cut in half as you marry so marriage or the single life is truly a choice instead of one having a benefit ober the other... It's more deep than that but obviously even my idea had it's holes as larger income people would obviously not be hurt as much as low income folks in this, meaning we would have to marry within class to keep it fair, but I realized that I accidentally made the Indian cast system but with economy instead... So this is why I'm commenting... Sometimes our "waterproof" ideas sound awesome, but when challenged you see the flaws. So no hate, I'm genuinely just curious on your take, but thank you for another deep video, always appreciated. 👍

The State imports millions of migrants, driving down wages, increasing housing prices and overpopulating the country. Then it had the audacity to use low birth rates (largely the result of wage slavery and housing prices) as an excuse for slave imports. What’s really sad about most people’s concern for the birthrates is that they’re not upset that people are too downtrodden to reproduce but instead that they won’t get a future generation of consumers and tax payers. The potential, more often inevitable suffering that unborn child will endure is irrelevant, they are a number on a spreadsheet to profit from, a cog in a machine.

Population decline is inevitable, you can't have gender equality and high fertility rate in the same sentence, and beside male sperm count is declining rapidly in developed countries, this is a bigger problem than you can imagine, people use to have many children when children were an asset and they could help in the farm and other stuff and children use to be actively involved in the production of their own food so people were quite happy for having them, but even back then when there was famine people would immediately stop having children, to conclude we like any other animals on earth reproduce when the conditions are good, you're seeing the declining birth rate as the sickness but in reality it's just the symptom.

It won't by itself. The problem, as we've discovered, is that young women cannot have too much freedom or they make bad choices that threaten the stability of civilization itself. A complete cultural change to restore a patriarchal society will be required. There are really only two paths back to a patriarchy for the West: 1.) The mass adoption of a patriarchal religion like traditional Catholicism or Islam, or 2.) some revised form of National Socialism. On our present trajectory we are heading towards a systemic social crisis over the next several generations and some variation of those two options will likely be the solution adopted in response. The liberal democratic society we currently live in likely will not survive the transition.

Always remember, People tend to be Idiots, and in this case, what they actually mean is "i have no Parenting SKILLS, as i barely have a grip on my own life Situation." And i believe that is genuinly the Case. People are not forced to learn good selfcare Skills nowadays, not at Home, and certainly not while in School. My Proof? Myself. When i was in Elementary School, in the 90´s, this was already so bad that i got free passes for behavior that to this Day is damaging to me, including massive laziness and non-participation. And since i hear from all sides that Things have not Improved since then, i feel rather safe with my Statement. Oh, and for those who would ask why i am Childless, i am Autistic. As an antinatalist, I have chosen not to have children. My decision is not based on selfishness or ignorance, but rather on my belief that bringing children into this world would subjugate them to suffering and pain. In my view, children are pure souls who should not be exposed to the hardships of life such as death, disease, war, trauma, poverty, and mental illness. I do not believe that having children for the sake of boosting the economy or providing for us in our old age is a valid reason. To me, this only benefits a small minority of privileged individuals and is the epitome of selfishness and ignorance. However, I respect that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I dont mind contributing a little to other peoples kids as is currently the case in my country, but no way im going to break my back for that. Choosing not to have children shouldn't be punished. Just give ALL people some breathing room by lowering taxes for everyone and people will start popping out babies in no time, but our inefficient and corrupt political system is in the way of that, that's the real problem.
@BadSantaXx1

This may be right from your perspective. But once you get older you might understand that having children in a fast pace society like this, means almost deleting your life. Beside that, most jobs in society aren't even needed if we were to built good material and lasting object, like we used to do. So it's all meaningless seen from another one his/her perspective. But more people = more profit for the rich. Because when this occurs they have more low payed workers and they have more income due to more unconscious people buying their unconscious and pretty much useless products.
@evilds3261
@evilds3261 6 ай бұрын
The issue with taxing those who do not have children is that they may not have the ability to provide children due to dating issues or health issues - and, thus, to pay the increase in taxes, they will collectively increase their demand for wages or salaries in the workforce which will render the minimum wage obsolete and then most of the taxpayer money is actually coming from corporations being either forced to hire entry-level workers for $30 minimum by cultural collective demand or else leaving the country to find cheaper labour and reducing the job opportunities for the population, shrinking GDP and impacting the spending power of the money given to parents for having kids. Thus, raising kids will likely cost a minimum of $500,000 in the future so your figure of approximately $200,000 will likely be outdated and not enough to incentivize childbearing. Paying the child-free tax will ironically be cheaper and will simply make the workforce demand more money at a higher baseline from their jobs. Say goodbye to continual growth and record profits. Sacrifice is a two-way street. Also, I thought automation and AI were supposed to ensure that population decline would not be detrimental - it would reduce job opportunities and make it necessary for the population to decrease to reduce poverty and homelessness in the next generation.

Instead, I was very musical and ended up in the band and choir by the time I reached high school and beyond. Why should the PE teacher be given advantages over other specials teachers like music and art? Children can get socialization and team building skills being part of a band, choir, or class art project, and even civic organizations like 4H, Girl Scouts, or Youth of Indeterminate Gender Scouts (BSA). Not every child has the ability to become an athlete, especially at the scholarship level in college/university. Calhoun rat utopia experiments in the 1960s had pointed to this phenomenon decades before humans displayed this same behavior. When rats and mice had everything they can want, no predators, abundant food, water, shelter, plenty of rats to mate and interact with… eventually the population in the rat utopia peaks and plateau. More than that’s the rats display hypergamy, top male rats mating with all the female rats, incel rats display unusual behaviors like homosexuality or ceasing sexual effort, mother rats would stop taking care of their offsprings… essentially these rats stop behaving like rats. When these rats were reintroduced to the wild, they did not go back to acting like rats, rather they permanently changed into a different whole different type of animal not found in nature. I don’t think humans are designed or evolve for this kind of urbanized civilization environment that the Industrial Revolution has made.

In my opinion, another drastic measure would be the introduction of the 6 hours long work-day for factory workers. Two shifts: one from 6 am to midday, and the other from 1 pm to 19 pm. This would be, in my opinion, FANTASTIC for many reasons: - Workers conditions would improve, as they have much freeer time with their family - Mothers could work in the morning while the children are at school, and fathers could work in the afternoon (or viceversa) Regardless, both would get more time to grow their own kids - 8 hours a day 5 days a week means 40 hours of "job getting done" for the factory. 2x6 hours a day 6 days a week would mean 72 hours of job getting done, while paying each worker 36 hours instead of 40. - A lot of factory jobs would be created, and what made Europe great in the last centuries wasn't tourism or social medias, but industrialization - More workers and more weekly hours of production would help Europe getting along with the industrializing countries on Earth, like China, Viet Nam and Indonesia. I'm no economist, but what would you think?
