Did you just call it sexy? LMFAO dude, I can't even. Although, roux is actually amazing, I can't believe it's so underrated. It's super easy, super efficient, super fast and intuitive for the most part, with efficient algorithms to solve the difficult parts. It's very well put together. You could teach this to a 5 year old.

Until this past Christmas Eve I hadn't seen a rubiks cube since 1976. My cousin had one, but I never got to spend anytime trying to learn it. I've learned 2 methods in the past week and a half; with the Roux method being the latest. I got a 1:35 with the CFOP method and already under a minute with the Roux method; thanks in big part to your incredible video. Thank You . Now I'm going to learn the 5x5

I'm just a beginner, having learned the beginners method and I think I'll be going with Roux. It looks more intuitive and fun than CFOP.
@voidman64194 жыл бұрын
I recommend switching to cfop cuz it's not that easy to do M and U moved whereas in cfop you can do any alg in less than a second. Good Ergonomics is also important which roux doesn't has
@noelic67444 жыл бұрын
@@voidman6419 I believe he's the same as me, we don't care about how fast we can do it. As he said, it looks more intuitive and fun. We wanna solve it like the puzzle it is by using our heads instead of memorising dozens of algorithms and taking all the intuitive thinking out of it. Not everybody is looking to solve it the fastest they can, some just wanna have fun and waste time in our leisure even if it takes longer.
@voidman64194 жыл бұрын
@@noelic6744 hmm in that case i think you and he should learn commutators and make your own algs and then Invent your own method which is what i did It is much more fun and intuitive
@eduardoxenofonte40043 жыл бұрын
@@voidman6419 look, i have the same viewpoint as J perm on this, they are both good, if you don't like thinking, then use CFOP, if you can't turn that fast, then use roux. the ergonomics in roux are fine, M moves are fine, the only problem with roux is that you have to think more than in CFOP, and by the way, you can also solve every alg in roux in less than one second

I think I'm going to fully commit myself to roux. I used to be able to solve the cube sub 15 with cfop 3 years ago but I quit around around the same time, I want to start cubing again now but my cfop habits are still really present. Any advice on breaking them and acquiring roux habits? Great video btw on of the better tutorial on roux that I've seen :)
@criticalcubing7 жыл бұрын
For breaking CFOP habits, I personally completely stopped CFOP for a couple months until I had Roux habits in muscle memory. That helped me learn more about Roux, while not confusing it with CFOP.

Priyanka bhardwaj What method do you use originally? Beginner or cfop
@mattevans16436 жыл бұрын
Go slowly and think about your moves. Get out of the habit of building you blocks like F2L. Also, there is nothing wrong with mixing methods. For instance, Roux uses CMLL, but if you don't want to learn CMLL, but tou already know OLL you can just use OLL, to get the corners.
