How to solve TOYOTA/LEXUS Power Rear Hatch Problems?DIY On A 2018 RAV4
Power rear hatch doors on SUV's and Minivans are fantastic but they can be more expensive to fix when they wear out. The struts have electric motors in them that wear out and this makes them more expensive to replace and more involved also.
This repair is on a 2018 Toyota RAV4 XLE and I will show you how to replace them on a 4th Gen RAV4 but the process will be very similar on other Toyota and Lexus models.
In the video I ask about the possibility of using a standard manual strut on a vehicle that had a power lift hatch. If you know if this is possible I would love to hear from you. Please comment below with what has to be done if some owners want to save money.
