​@@HowslyOfficial you should check out the experimental part, very fun read. But I also encourage you to check out multiple places in the guide and decide for yourself were you would place them. I would rather you find it out than me telling you a "correct" answer, because as genres are a way for the brain to distinguish concepts it is also exactly that, a way for the brain to distinguish different concepts of music, it is not the "ultimate truth".

For a some, you can find these plugins or alternatives for free. All of the fruity plugins come with FL Studio and you can use fruity reverb instead of crystalline and it'll still sound good. Wider is also a free plugin. Serum unfortunately is not free, however Vital is a free alternative and works just as well. There's also a website called presetshare.com where people make and upload sounds for free, so you don't have to struggle making a whole bunch of sounds from scratch. This also goes for stuff like sausage fattener (compressor) and Thermal (distortion) which aren't free, but fruity compressor or destructor are both free alternatives within FL Studio. Also depending on the version of FL Studio you have, Gross Beat can be used as an alternative to half time and some of the features within Shaperbox 3. In my case, I bought the FL Studio edition without Gross Beat, and then just spent the extra money on gross beat, but in hindsight, I wish I saved up an extra $30 for the next tier because (at the time) Gross Beat was $70.

how long did it take you to create this video from filming to uploading? I am asking because I cant bring myself to create 20 minute videos because of how tiring the editing is.

It varies from video to video, this specific one took 25 minutes to record because my FL crashed a few times. Idk how long it took to edit but for the most part my editing is just cutting out empty space while stuff loads. I’d say maybe an hour of total time at the absolute most, but I recorded it at night then edited the next day which helps the process

As far as chops, they're closer to jungle and drumfunk than breakcore by a pretty huge margin, if you keep listenning to dnb instead of breakcore you might never notice the difference tho, I'm js tho
