Hats off to the creator of this vlog. Previously, when you scour through the whole internet and youtube, there are but a few who discuss or try to teach the language in detail. So for those trying to learn the language, this is a good resource to drum up your speaking skills and speak the language straight away. Thanks for these Sir Chris.

In Spanish padre also means priest. This language is so similar to spanish, I can relate to this language because of my native language Spanish so easily. Viva las Islas filipinas con toda su belleza y su cultura hispana

"Alcalde" = mayor ...can also be expressed in the feminine form "Alcaldesa, and this is also used in Zamboanga City by the people and media to refer to a female mayor. Though the word "Alcalde" can also be used for both men and women mayors, "Alcaldesa" is only used for women. :)

Some things I noticed: The Chavacano word for "to fall" is more or less spelled "cae" and not "cay". I know people are used to have a mistake in spelling of most words in Chavacano becasue of our lack of formal and standardized spelling as well as literature. It came from the Spanish word "caer" so the spelling then more or less be "cae" . "Zapato" is the singular word for "shoe" based on Spanish but commonly still "zapatos" with "s" is also considered singular while "maga zapatos" with the word "maga" would be the plural form. The same thing goes with the words "flores" "rosas" "ojos" "orejas" "ojas" "guayabas" etc. which all ends with 's" and are considered plural in Spanish but are commonly considered still as singular in Chavacano. It's rare to hear or use the words "ojo" "rosa" "oreja" "oja" "flor" and "guayaba" to specify a singular noun for these words among other native Chavacano speakers. I personally use some of these singular words from Spanish like I may say "un ojo" or "ta duele mi un ojo" but most speakers would say "un ojos" or "ta duele mi un ojos" but still refers to only just one eye even the word "ojos" with an "s" is used. This is really a unique exception of using singular and plural form of words in Chavacano as compared to Spanish. These words can be defined as "having plural form but singular in meaning" when it comes to Chavacano just like the English words "mathematics" "gymnastics" and "physics". A singular form of a Chavacano word can also be written as it is without the use of the article "el" at the beginning. Using "el" is formal but it can also be omitted. So, the sentence "Ya come yo kanon/morisqueta" can be as it is or can be "Ya come yo el kanon/morisqueta". Using "el" may denote specificity or particularity as if a specific thing or the word is involved. The article "el" is commonly used with singular words only as the subject or in the beginning of the sentence like "El casa de amon diutay lang" while "Casa de amon diutay lang' without the "el" is not used and may be considered a poetic phrase or line and not a full declarative sentence. :)

Also, though we use the word "ika" to denote "ordinal number" the spelling considered formal is "aca-" instead of "ika-". The word "dieciseis" can also be spelled "diez y seis" as separate words. Not all proper nouns specifically the names of person begins with the article "si". "Si" is only and commonly used when the proper noun of a person is the subject or the one tackled about in the sentence, or is one of the subject in a phrase that makes up the subject part of the sentence. "Si Leo el mi amigo." or "Si Leo mi amigo" and "Si Leo y si Maria el (de) mi(o) maga amigo y amiga." or "Si Leo y Maria (de) mi(o) maga amigo y amiga." When the proper noun is not the subject "si" is not used like in "Ya dale yo regalo con Ana." and the sentence "Ya dale yo regalo con si Ana" is not correct. Therefore, "si" is not always attached to the proper noun of a name of a person. :) When the word "si" is used twice in a sentence for proper names of persons like in "Si Leo y si Ana...." the word "canda" is used so it will be "Canda Leo y Ana" instead of saying the word "si" twice in that part of the sentence. The rest of your examples are all fine and great. Thanks a lot for teaching and promoting the creole language. I guess it's really a duty of every ethnic or native Zamboangueño to preserve, promote, and study it as part of our linguistic heritage. :D Viva la idioma Chavacano! or Viva el lenguaje Chavacano!

Exactly, because there's no conjugation in chavacano. This is the main complaint of foreigners who study spanish, it's the conjugation, they are having a hard time on it.
