Born and raised germans below 40 can speak pretty good English but the problem I have here is the workers aren't Germans so they speak about much English as I do German. In addition if you're near halle and looking for work Trek Bicycle is hiring ;) if you can come and translate for me it would be great.)

I can speak a German dialect that most Germans a) can't understand and b) may never have even heard before. It's a Jewish-German called Lachoudisch; from the Bavarian region of Germany. I grew up speaking it with my parents (both Holocaust survivors. Both still alive at 94). It incorporates both Hebrew and Yiddish. It hasn't been spoken in Germany since before WW2 (for obvious reasons).

Look up Sid Caesar double talk or double speak, he does a German accent and speaks basic gibberish with bits of German words. He was so good, that often fooled native speakers from Germany

@@tamasvamoscomedy Luckily just one. But that one is enough. :-))) For those who don't know: Mario Barth is a german stand-up Comedian who, since 2001, mainly deals with the interactions between men and women whereas some (or most) would say that his humor is rather blend, simpe and sometimes blunt. Either you love him or hate him saying he's not funny at all. As for the connection with this video: Mario Barth has a rather distinct way to speak always using the same simple phrases in his shows. Phrases very similar to what Tamas portrayed in this humoristic video

As half german and half brit I can confirm that many people that are not native german speakers use this on a daily basis and we understand everything. Also germans do this in other countries with: you know ... this ... uhm

I add "so" into the Mix. You can get everywhere with it. You say it if you want to leave or go to the toilet or somewhere else. You say it if you are done with something you did or want to do. It is a very powerful word.

I remember one time I was at a Train station and some foreign person came to me, with a paper in his hand and only said "Weißt du diese... dies. Dies hier?" He pointed at the paper where the name of the train station was. I said "Ja diese Bahnhof ist dies (pointed at the name)" Then he pointed at another name and just said "Diese fahren? (This driving?)". I pointed at the railway and said "Diese" and then pointed at the name on the paper. He thanked me and walked away. Wonder if he reached his goal XD
