I learn Spanish and live in central Spain for a year, and I can tell this *eating consonants and “d” between vowels* thing is real not only in southern Spain, but seems to me everywhere they speak castellano. It’s all over the place. My favorite one is “me he quemado” - for way too long I thought the guy was talking to me about Mickey Mouse for some reason 😂

Last night I listened to a couple of CDs. One by Julio Iglesias and one by Rocío Dúrcal. At times some words seemed to disappear into the background. Sometimes the instrumental music overpowers the vocal. But also I have a harder time properly hearing and understanding voices over electronic devices or loudspeakers in public places like stores or airports. Even in English many times I have to ask for repeats. Many times more than once.

Choose a song you like, so you enjoy the process :D As I say in the video, you can search for "music chart + name of country" to search for new songs. Nice tips. My tip would be, be careful when you’re learning English by using American sources. Your vowels are starting to sound a bit like theirs and that’s not a good route to go down. Eg. When you say ‘offer’ it sounds like ‘affer’. Besos
