It's a good tip but in my case it's not good enough. When I am editng a video is LITTERLY the program it self is just laging. It lags only on the cuts I add. I just edit with a LOT of jcuts and every time it lags it's always on the cuts and the program (ShotCut)just lags more when I add effects near the cuts

I'm just getting into vid editing, and a poor guy like me got the free version of Davinci resolve 15. But the sample/study clips that the Black magic site provides runs and previews like butter on my i5 6400, 16gb RAM, AMD r7 250 1gb ddr5 rig, but clips that I import from my phone seem not so fluid! I imported the same rez 720p 24 h.264, even converted to .mov...and still not butter scrubbing/scratching, and yea playback is smooth, but edit page scratch/scrub not as smooth!
