Regarding the "dolly zoom", one could also be moving forward while zooming out. It works equally well! Love you and your great work, Peter!

the second trick I've done it but instead of masking I've use the crop effect and then keying out the image, I think it is a bit faster than doing the mask thing, but it's kinda the same thing at the end. Love the last effect though! I will try that one next ;)

A camera trick Ive been using lately is beginning and ending my shot with with a quick whip in any direction! I love the look it gives when you put it next to another clip with the same whip. Blends super nicely!

This is great, I have been using a variation of the dolly zoom in my videos when flying forward I zoom out, looks super trippy. Used it in a couple of my films. Love the effect.

Dolly Zoom is a classic camera lens trick first used by Alfred Hitchcock in "Vertigo" where you pan back and while panning back your slowing zooming in at the same speed to create the effect of distortion around the subject. #lesson

Joe MacInnes you can, the only issue with that is just keeping the camera stable while pulling focus.

Yes the proper way to do it is by zooming when you are dollying back - that's how it's been done in films for decades (before digital effects even existed). So definitely try it that way!
