These videos are so well done. Brad is an excellent presenter of all this information.

Love watching these videos. Grew up fishing Mille Lacs ( like literally from a month old in a ice house ) we used to fish out of the Roll in Lodge. Larry and Brenda were great. After they sold Boat harbor with Harold, and then Terry bought it. Spent my summers living there and working the launches through the 90s. First person who introduced me to a spinner rig and trolling was Griz. Can't even begin to say how much I love that lake. Breakfast at twin pines, dinner at head quarters or the Y lounge. Miss it a ton.

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

Very good video, for someone starting out, good job dude, I find it interesting the different way people fish. Even people who have fished for years, can learn new things.

Great tips. I never heard of such long leaders before. Thanks very much.
@ringfry68164 жыл бұрын
As he’s talking about fishing long leaders (8 to 16 ft) so you don’t spook the fish the guy in the front of the boat pulls in his rig with a 2’ leader. Apparently he didn’t get the memo. 😂 Great video video though! I learned a lot, thanks 🙏

Super video, thanks for all the good info. Question for you though, Let say your rig is bottom bouncer with a 14 feet leader up to your spinner. when you reel the line in, the bottom bouncer will get to your tip while you still have 14 feet of line out. How do you get the fish in? thanks in advance

Just found this........great info for a newbie walleye seeker like me!! Taking my 80 y/o father-in-law to Leech this mid-June. Based on what you've indicated, fish may be more spread out at that time and spinners may be the ticket? Do you recommend starting there or go from the top w/ jig & (spot tail) shiner first? I've got a variety of 6'+ snells at the ready with various blade and bead combos. Will definitely have live bait and look to add the Impulse crawlers & leeches to the arsenal. Thanks for all the insights! Just hoping to get my FIL on some good fish and enjoy his time out.

You have a pretty good plan there. Try that out first. Also, on Leech, walleye can go shallow (3-6') when the wind blows, try pitching jig/minnow or snap jigging swimbaits or Jigging Raps shallow on the wind blown points.
