if anyone is wondering how they can keep track of their progress the stone tower will give you different dialog corresponding with your progress it goes as follows 0-7 it appears to have been built many years ago 8-14 its stones appear to have shifted 15-21 is that crying coming from inside the tower 22-28 is the tower shaking ever so slightly? 29-31 theres some sort of presence it seems ready to emerge 32+ yulaaaah! (and then the encounter begins) (credit to a video by austin john plays idk if he figured it out him self or got it somewhere else but got it from him)

Not accurate. I’ve had it saying that ‘there’s some sort of presence it seems ready to emerge’ and I’ve found 7 more underground npc’s, still saying that.

As soon as I watched this video I followed you to twinleaf town. I put the odd keystone into the odd tower. Then I went underground. Then I dug up a odd keystone right next to the tower XD

After trying in my own I have found about 10 unique NPCs in the first area so far. 2 more sections to search so my current guess is about 13 to 15 in the first area.

I'm still not sure how many NPC's there are per area but you may be able to do this with a limited number of areas although it would be a lot easier once you are post game with every area to explore. I Do know players who have been able to do this after the 6th Gym so its possible. Hope this helps

No unfortunately not as the game doesn’t keep a psychical count and appears to be a hidden value we can’t access. The first time I went after spiritomb I did exactly the same thinking there would be a count somewhere. Sorry I can’t be more help on this

yes actually theres a great video by austin john plays that explains is but the basic premise is 0-7 it appears to have been built many years ago 8-14 its stones appear to have shifted 15-21 is that crying coming from inside the tower 22-28 is the tower shaking ever so slightly? 29-31 theres some sort of presence it seems ready to emerge 32+ yulaaaah! (and then the encounter begins) so if ur unsure on ur progress just interact with the stone tower where the keystone is and just whatever dialog it gives corresponds with these numbers

Hello, i think i was a bit late to know about this event while im done as a champion league. I did have 1 odd keystone, tried to put it to the tower but it always said "it's the Hallowed Tower, Its stone appear to have shifted". And the npc nearby the honey tree only said i must listen to the pillar. Please help what should i do because everytime i talk to the npc underground there is not such things like the hint of in spiritomb event 😭 Pleaseee helpp reply this 😥

Hey, so you just need to speak to 32 unique npcs in the underground. Once you do that go back to the hallowed tower and you will encounter spiritomb, also because you are in the post game this should be easier as you have access to all the underground sections which will make finding the different npcs a lot easier. I’d try and write down the name the npc when you have spoken to them then keeping a count is a lot easier :) hope this helps

I do want to know if you get more than one chance to catch it because right now I'm currently trying to level up my pokemon so that way they'd be leveled up enough to do some damage to get a low sweat can catch it but if I fail to I just wanted to know if it's possible to try it again?

not in order but you cant just respawn the same mf 32 times by reloading the area you need to speak to 32 mfs with 32 unique names thats the most simple way of explaining it

It looks like many of the online guides are using information from the original game. In this version you can only interact with the NPCs.

Im not sure about online players, I will test this on my other cart and let you know if it works, hopefully it does as it would speed the method up a bunch but have a feeling it may only work with in game NPC characters. Will confirm as soon as I know :)
