I have the Black Betty and don’t like the drag on it , I infer if the feel is the same on the Pflueger ? Im still getting the pflueger cause i mite sell the BB if I like the pflueger more . Shall see .

I enjoy the pflueger. The drag is nice and the reel is a solid unit. So, it's good in my opinion. I'm still getting used to the inline.

I'm looking at getting an inline reel. Why did it spool out? Does it have to do with the drop speed?

Yes there's a know on the side that decreases the drop speed. Much like a baitcaster. So it actually can spool out. It's fun to use I like it but obviously adjustment period for sure.

I’m a big fan of the inline reels, I have 3 from 13 fishing. I would say the biggest recommendation I have is to get one with the trigger, one of mine is a button style and I end up spoiling our more with that one than anything. If you get one just play with the settings for a bit before you take it out, it will save you some heartache for sure.

@AC Bad yeah it's pretty cool. I do enjoy it. I have the speed of the spool all set now. Works pretty darn good

Really good it definitely takes a bit of getting used to. Love the feel and solid reel with good drag.

Was the free fall too quick then had backlash?

Yes, you gotta play with the free fall to make sure it doesn't come out to quick. Based on how much weight you have on the end of your line.
