This video has edited captions in English to correct the autocaptions for my accent.
My name is Xanthe.
This list, from part 1 and modified and added to by myself was started by a female advocate who goes by Shell Spectrum. Shell was diagnosed in childhood. Both of us had clinically significant autism spectrum features since childhood. Both of us criticise the harm from the faddish neurodiversity movement.
I have seen lately, some neurodiversity advocates criticise their own movement for having elitism, egos, out to make a profit etc. It's essentially a popularity contest for validation and money. Trivialising the struggles of those who have genuine impairment and disability.
I call 'neurodiversity' version 'autistics' (mostly self-diagnosed), 'nautistics' as they have made the clinical criteria into an opposite criteria with no impairments. Also spelled 'noughtistics' for no actual autism.
I call those who are milking this for profit 'fraudtistics.'
They make up words, so why can't I?

See I have seen some traits in myself I’ve struggled socially always, I also don’t remember talking very much but having a twin sister who did, she’d do the talking and I felt like I was behind developmentally compared to her. However for me it gets complicated because I grew up in a neglectful environment in more ways then one. Neglect can impact your brain and effect it in some of the same ways autism effects the brain. I had no one who cared enough to see if I was struggling. We moved so much the schools would never have time to do an evaluation. I never saw a regular doctor. So my developmental history is anyone’s guess. It makes me someone who could probably never get a straight answer even if I do struggle with many issues that might be related to autism. Like I have shut downs and have sensory needs with avoiding touch and a lot to do with hearing and feeling noise’s (particularly bass and J brakes) and I struggle in communicating and my executive functioning can only keep up short term before things implode. Life is kind of a mess I’m just constantly forced to deal with consequences of not being able to do what everyone else seems to be able to. I guess that’s why I feel like something’s up. However, I don’t go parading around with a title and entitlement bragging or complaining or otherwise about it… I simply want to understand and feel understood.

That is correct. Trauma in childhood can change brain development & it can be hard to distinguish from pervasive developmental disorders, some of which are now categorized as autism spectrum disorders. My criticisms are those who had no clinically significant difficulties since childhood, ripping off diagnostic criteria & twisting them to fit ideology. For politics & profit

SO GLAD someone is talking about this... I am a 17 year old autistic girl who has only recently got diagnosed. In childhood I showed many autistic traits, i had to go to speech therapy, struggled socially, overstimulated, etc. Could go on for ages. It makes me incredibly angered to see these self diagnosed 'autistic' people on social media fake it for views, money, fame, etc. They take something ive struggled with my whole life-- that now i am getting support for-- making it a trend, to be quirky, a 'label'. When the camera is off they can turn it off. I CANNOT. You should have more views, it makes me happy SOME people have common sense .. oh and dont get me started on the odd identity prounouns and sexualities... Such a mockery of ACTUAL autistic people..

yeah i agree, same here. It baffles me to no end why he WANTS to be disabled, labeled as disabled and some people even wants to be dependent on adult social services for ‘’care’’. As someone who was misdiagnosed years ago as '' retarded'' and autistic'', only to find out 30 odd years later when i was around 38 years old after being re tested and evaluated, that i was not delayed, or autistic, my challenges and ''traits'' were due to a couple of learning / processing disorders: in fact, i found out i am actually somewhat advanced. i am here to tell you that, you do not want a DX such as autism or developmental / cognitive delays: because it ruins and grossly limits your life. i was in the adult social services system for 20 years, and now : im out even though i have correct DX now, ( been out for 4 and a half years) i spent all those years basically, ''institutionalized'' yes, they had started home and community services by then as that was becoming more common than putting people in homes, halfway houses, facilities, etc. but its still institutionalization, i still spent 98 percent of my time with paid social workers and case workers; and very disabled people, i was treated as and for the most part considered incompetent: i had missed out on real world experiences like being consistently and long term employed, i missed out on being active ongoing in the job market and business world, i have no relevant skills for today's job market despite trying EVERYTHING, im not able to work, or really function in the world, i have never been able to build long term relationships because i did not have those opportunities to develop that in my young adult years, i am a confident person, i have continually put myself out there socially and employment wise and i have not to this day had any success or progress: long story short; these diagnoses are a death sentence and they robbed me of a chance at a normal life, had a been DX'd in my younger years correctly with the learning and processing disorders, i would most likely have had accommodations and work-arounds that would have led me to more potentials for success, i would have had opportunities that are not afforded to folks, especially back in the day, who are diagnosed as autistic and or mentally slow / delayed.

35. "Function labels are bad. 36. Asperger's should not be said because of Nazis. 37. Went through their life without needing assistance at any point. 38. Got good grades in school without setting foot in any resource or tutoring center. 39. Claims that being hard on yourself and pushing yourself to do better is "self ableism". 40. ABA therapy should never be used even if it is used to manage harmful behaviors in level 2 and level 3 people. 41. -tism.

aspergers should not be banned simply because he was a Nazi or was affiliated with them, he happened to be one of the people who identified and differentiated a condition that was similar to autism but in some ways was different than ''typical'' for lack of better word, autism. we should have the aspergers DX back, in addition to mild autism, because a person who is mildly autistic, is different than a person who was typically DX'd as aspergers; the aspergers people are usually more '' functional'' for lack of better word, and an aspergers was a specific autistic person who was NOT cognitive or developmentally delayed ! whereas an autistic person whether mild, moderate, or severe, was autistic in addition to being developmentally/cognitively delayed to varying degrees. but regardless of what to call it, it needs its own diagnosis because they have different issues and needs as a general rule.

function labels are bad, but thats because everyone tends to shove people in one far end or the other '' high or low'' they need to include a mid range, a high to mid range, mid to low range, not put everyone on one extreme other other. that makes sense as disabilities are all on a spectrum, from mild, moderate, severe, to profound.
