A lot of people ask me this question; how to spot a fake immigration consultant. Do i need to hire an immigration consultant or agent, or Licensed practitioner? In this video, i shared an important information on how to verify if your consultant or representative is licensed or not. I hope that you find my video informative and helpful. In Canada, for any immigration needs that you are unable to complete yourself, it is best to use either a licensed immigration consultant, lawyer, or approved agent Find out for yourself in this video how easy it is to verify the license and authenticity of your Consultant.
Avoid Agents and Consultants that are not licensed with the ICCRC ( Immigration Consultant Of Canadian Regulated Council ) Ensure that you have verified them using the link i provided earlier. They should provide you with their contact information location, identification number that starts with Letter R followed by 6 numbers.
Ensure that your consultant is licensed with the Canadian Government.
If for any reason you suspect that you have been scammed, file a complaint against them.

To avoid immigration scam, you can protect yourself by doing a number of things which i mentioned on this video. You also need to verify that the person you are dealing with is genuine. When you finally deal with anyone of these registered practitioners, ensure that you are signing a valid contract and evidence of all your interactions with them.
Remember, if it is too good to be true, it is not- follow your instincts. The truth is that you can complete your application yourself by following the guides on the Government of Canada website. Sometimes, it is cheaper to do this yourself as some of these so called "consultants" simply waste your money. Please avoid fake immigration consultant by all means.
