Why does it have to be fake? It could be that they're just selling the same product that they buy wholesale and resell. Some people have more than one shop and list the same items in both.

Hi, Miley! Can’t speak for everyone, but I know these specific photos were all stolen from me. I bought a few and received items very different than pictures. I also know this happens to many other small-time makers who get their listed ripped. Usually local, handmade artists don’t do wholesale. It isn’t always a tell-tell sign I’m sure…but often is.

You can’t list the same item in more than one shop. You can list the same item twice in your one shop, but Etsy doesn’t allow you to list the same item in two shops. My coworker and I sell the same type of items (supplies) and this is why I always take different photos if I’m photographing an item for both of us that we both sell.

As a former Etsy CS I can confirm you can't have multiple shops selling the same product

yeah, and notice for valuble items they will sell it way cheaper. im trying to get a melanie perfume worth 3k for cheap and theres like 70 of the same ones for 123 pounds

i also learned that if they dont showcase more than one picture of the item its also probably, false, too bad i learned this afterwards. i do hope its possible ill be able to refund because my item was not delivered and it was all totally bunk, ive fallen for it twice now woops!!!!!!!!!!

Etsy has just charged my card for 400+ with no effort to return me the item. The buyer hasn’t even provided te damage photo! Who knows the similar Etsy victims how can we protect our rights together?

Ebay does that,its just a marketing strategy to pick lower prices,they charge different prices for different groupings.

Most of the time yes, you can get a refund, but reporting doesn’t seem to change anything for future buyers 🤷🏼‍♀️
