Aren't you going to buff it? What about putting a second clear coat after buffing? You are the only guy I know who put a clear coat over their Rustoleum paint job. I keep on telling those others that putting a clear coat will make it look much better and last much longer. Thank you for proving my point.

Thanks for the sub no I didn't buff it I think I was caught up in the moment after I sprayed it the next one I do I'm going to experiment further with I appreciate your comment as well

@@ehrhardtmotorsports8280 So will you buff out the next one? I watch another paint channel where he puts 3-4 coats of clear coat in successive layers in one shot and then buffs it out and it is absolutely amazing. What'ja think? On a project that is worth putting that extra work into?

How long did you wait before shooting the clear...Do you wait until its dry to touch, wait for the one hour recoat time listed on the can... Not sure I understand the proper timing to shoot the clear over rustoleum. Great job btw. Looks awesome!!!

Yes you can wait 30 to an hour I have sprayed both ways back to back and next day on the next day clear I always use a scotch Brite to scuff

when you put the 1st coat of black paint down how long did you wait before you hit with sandpaper? what grit paper and wet or dry?

I let it sit overnight sanded with 220 wet sanded some areas with 400 then before we sprayed went back with the maroon 3m scotch Brite and scuffed to ensure we had everything I appreciate the like and subscribe Mike I am going to do a follow up video for q&a

I seen horror stories about solvent clearcoat interfering with rustoleum and bubbling or wrinkling. How did you avoid that? Some say let rust-oleum cure for a month. That's way too long

Typical redneck , spray without a respirator. Best if you chew at the same time. 😊. Put the respirator on after just for clear. Only one of ya needs it for 2k. Heck, he can hold his breath or use his shirt. Lots of solvent pop.
