Wow, thank you so much for explaining this otherwise confusing subject. Gee after this video I'd have a go at doing this myself. Absolutely fantastic, thanks Dave.

I should have waited two years to buy my 2004 Nissan Stagea RX350, and have watched this first. Exactly as you've described. In NZ I bought cans with a QX1 base with pearl then lacquer.

Really interesting, I've always wondered what's the difference between both. Thanks!

I don't know how legal guns (rifles) are where you live, but painting rifles using cans is EXTREMELY popular in the US. If you did a tutorial showing people to paint a rifle (or rifle chassis) the right way it would be amazing!! (and probably a very popular video that would get shared a lot around gun forums. Id personally share it for you) The videos we are total shit show. Show us the right way!! )

I discovered you while watching the MCM channel and I have to admit, you are really awesome. This video was very informative so a huge thanks for sharing this! If I may, what temperature do you keep your shop at to make it the most suitable when painting with paint cans?

I would like to see a video on the subject of Mazda's Red pearl colour. I think its 41v or 46v? Its on the newest Mazda models. Spray Painter always bring it up and blendding it its much of an option as its generally a full or partial respray colour edge to edge thanks. Or even the skyline midnight 3 colour and that colourshift harlequin colours, or even candy colours. Well theres heaps to cover but regardless happy to see you again mate.

This is a basic video and i dont think many people would attempt mazda red or waste the paint cause its 2k per gallon pf paint. And not many stock cars have harlequin paint and the bonus of that colour is its never the same colour so its proably easier to paint match. Theres many successful mazda red repairs if the painter is experienced and willinf to make the effort.

Hi Dave, have you ever used the concept paints acrylic gloss jet black u guys sell at VG Auto Paints ? I was thinking of respraying my little project car with it. I wanted to stay away from 2K for health reasons.
@customspraymods4 ай бұрын
Hey yeah it's great. Also you can mix the last 2 coats with straight clear for a nicer cut and buff.
@Chris_Paul14 ай бұрын
@@customspraymods normally the standard mix is 1:1 paint and thinners ? And u mean for the last 2 coats to mix 0.5 part black paint 0.5 part clear and 1 part thinners ?

@@Chris_Paul1 yep exactly.
