Trying this I really like the second method with the rubber bands. I know a lot of people don’t like rubber bands but I’ve done passion twists twice using the rubber band method and box braids using the rubber band method and they’ve been great for my hair. I have 4 C hair as well. The rubber bands don’t pull my hair out or break it off. And my hair has been growing a lot. This is a great protective style. Thanks for sharing can’t wait to try this!

Thanks for sharing the 3 methods. Method #1 would be my preference for my hairstylist. Yes, method #2 would be good if I was doing my own hair. I would rule out method #3 because I don’t like rubber bands in my hair. And, that purple color is 🔥 Thanks again four the tutorial.

I did this on my hair last month and received so many compliments. I did the braid method as my hair is short and this worked best. But as my hair is growing... I’m going to attempt the method you favored. I did try it on a couple but it kept slipping with my shorter hairs. Y’all did an excellent job

Great video. The twist came out nice. The first technique was originally posted/created by YT'er Naturally Engineered, at least that is where I saw it first. I like how it came out in your video. She didn't do the wrapping around the braid first so I think that is a nice take on the original method. Thanks for sharing.

justalex30 you can adjust the length to what u desire. I can show you how to do long ones but this look was achieved with just making the lengths even on both sides

Yessss now I can use a different technique (#1) for starting my spring twist because I wanted to do the crochet method because I didn’t really want braids (like I didn’t want to braid the hair in I wanted to do what you did where you braid it then crochet and cover up the braid - covering the braid is where I didn’t have an idea of what to do til now) as the starter this time for my twists like I usually do for my Senegalese twists. But if it doesn’t work for me (I’ll just do the reg. Braid in method) because I do want them long so is there a suggestion for if I’m layering the strands: splitting one strand into two and then layering them so the twist can be longer?? I hope that makes sense.

You don't have to add eco gel if you don't want too.... and I just wash it with moisturizing shampoo and don't really have an issue
