Hey! Thanks for the tutorial! I just wanted to mention that it's very difficult to stabilize a shot using a tracker on a moving object (or person in this case) I would suggest you to use the background as tracking points instead of the actor. What the stabilization did in this case was not to stabilize the shot, but to stabilize the subject into the frame.

This would not have worked in this case, because there was too much movement in the frame.

When you scale to cover empty spaces after stabilization applied, why there are two methods? in the first clip, you scale by adding new point layer, while in the second clip you didn't. What actually the purpose of the new point layer? Sorry for this lack of skills question. I just learned to use Hitfilm Express 14. And thank you in advance.

Thanks for the video. But, for me, tracking stops by itself several times, sometimes every 2 seconds, and I need to keep clicking again to complete the analysis. This is a problem? Second question is: Can you run this analysis in the background? Because when I click outside of Hitfilm, the analysis stops. It is one thing to stabilize a clip, another is a multi-hour video, like a video in traffic.

So you can pretty much only stabilize a shot that is fixed. Forget about trying to stabilize moving/action, or panning shots. Right? This is fucking frustrating.
