To be honest, I'm not a big fan of stamped concrete in general, but you guys really know how to do a great job and it makes the difference to me. The color especially looks very natural.

Good work. I noticed the Painter couldn't take his eyes off you guyz, stamping. Didn't really count on those views eh. Lol. Thank you sir, contemplating doing this exact thing at my home. I'm in Texas, and will begin this project in probably June. Yehaw.

I uave a brick patio that i am going to replace with concrete because every year weeds keep growing in between the bricks. Tgese videos are helping me to prepare. Question: if i stamp it, can i use a grinder and put the relief cuts only in the stamp lines or do they have to go straight all the way across
@MikeDayConcrete3 жыл бұрын
They have to go straight.

Watched you do a stamped concrete patio and now doing the walkway. You are definitely a PRO. Your products are beautiful. I'm in the process of building a home. What would a concrete walkway like this cost? Also, cost for a a 18x14 patio, Thanks!

if doing a project 45'x15'x6" thick in 90* weather how long would you wait before stamping???

-I’m sure you know this already but - When you’re putting on the outside form, instead of measuring the width with a tape every time, I always found it easier to cut a 2x4 the width of the sidewalk and use it as a gauge. Especially if you’re working by yourself. Then you can use that piece to close out the form at the end. -For the mix you’re using there - pea-rock, with fiber mesh and some MRWR, that sounds like about the same price as we’re paying in So. Fla. -Was it just the camera angle or was that a heavier gauge wire mesh? It looked like maybe a W2.1 instead of the standard W1.4. 🤜🤛
@MikeDayConcrete5 жыл бұрын
We use the 2x4 method for width size also. Just didn't on this one. It was a heavier gauge wire. Owner wanted it.

@tomruth94875 жыл бұрын
Just wondering about what is your loading of fibermesh? Is there a point where too much fibermesh gets in the way of troweling? And are you also using a water reducer?
@MikeDayConcrete5 жыл бұрын
We use one bag of micro-fiber per yard of concrete. That's a good ratio. We always use the water reducer in the mix.
@MultiTravelingman4 жыл бұрын
Could you use the same method for a driveway?
@MikeDayConcrete4 жыл бұрын
Yes, for sure.
@cameronoverfield87645 жыл бұрын

Why the styrofoam underneath the concrete -- Will the foam rotten over the years?
@MikeDayConcrete3 жыл бұрын
No foam doesn't rot. It protects the ground from freezing and possibly heaving.

@psidvicious5 жыл бұрын
Yea, that stuff is pricey in my area too. I guess that’s why Mike says there’s some good money to be made with it. 🤜🤛
@MikeDayConcrete5 жыл бұрын
It is pricey. There's a lot of training and experience in this skill. It does look really nice though. I have a lot of customers who had pavers first, didn't like them for many reasons, and we came in and replaced with stamped concrete.
