Yay! The trick is to find the right ink for the type of paper your photos are printed on. Printing at home gives me the easiest option I think, if you print elsewhere, it might take a bit of experimenting to find something that works for you!

Great tip. May I ask more about printing photos. What is your printer (oh.. a canon, but do you know the model?) and about how much per picture is the cost when all is said and done? TFS!!

The model is MG3560. It is nothing special, I got it because it was white and wireless! I have no idea about cost per photo. Printing photos isn't really a choice given the hobbies I love so price isn't really a factor for me. New Zealand is very different from the USA in that there is not a huge choice of readily-available places to order photos from but TBH even if there was, I still would print from home. I enjoy being able to choose different photos and sizes when I want to use them.

It works for me... lots of photo boxes with year, then divisions for each month - in envelopes, then into glassine bags for the weeks that are put into the monthly envelopes. Then I have a large glassine bag with ephemera for each month in there too. Everything marked with year, month, week. I have 4 1/2 years worth like this (2013-present ( I have only done about 6 months into an album) reasy to get into albums. Then I am also starting to organize older hard copy photos and print what I can for the last 45+ years. I sometimes even dream of the all the years I have to get done and how I want to decorate them. :) Some years won't have many photos cause we didn't take near as many as I have over the last 10 years. Oh, and I want to do a vintage one for my mom's photos that were taken in the 1920's through the 50's. I wished there were more from back then!
