You can also use regular stamping polish and one stamper.. cover one stamper with desired powders. I like doing gradients on the stamper stamp as you normally would.. works just the same. There's videos on what I just mentioned.. check out stamping with powders/pigments and sticky rollers work great as well for cleaning your stamper ❤

@@jenpierce2385 I’ve tried to stamp with regular polish and I’ve tried several brands. But for me, I just find that it’s either not pigmented enough or it doesn’t work properly for me. That my clients don’t like the look of stamping with regular polish. And then when I stamp with stamping polish, that’s more pigmented they like that better. That’s why I prefer stamping polish over regular polish.

@@DeliasNailStudioI should have said stamping polish but that's what I meant by regular polish 😬(not gel).. BUT I came by to see if you tried the born pretty magician stamping topcoat (gel) or the stamping oil (they looked like they were centered around for using with pigments/chrome).. the advertisement made it look so simple and so perfect (go figure).. I got both from Ali Express which oddly came faster than friends who ordered directly from born pretty.. sorry back to the point sista.. the stamping oil is great IMO but the magician stamping topcoat is super sloppy it needs several scraps on the plate and cleaning up the image while on the stamper.. even then it's not a clean transfer 😢.. I was hoping it was going to be great for stamping with pigments etc but not so much..the stamping oil on the other hand is air dry (unless you mix it with gel paint of course) and I really liked it for powders but honestly it wasn't something that was needed when stamping with pigments (I think the sticky stamping polish works better for that).. BUT it is nice for mixing with gel for stamping. I didn't think it was going to work right bc I have tried stamping with a gel polish (not stamping gel) before and the image literally separated on the stamper before I could transfer 😅.. so I figured that isn't going to work out but it did they give you a ratio for gel to stamping oil.. I'd say maybe check out a video if you were thinking about getting it.. but I was curious on your opinion and I am so sorry for writing you a whole damn novel.. @@jenpierce2385 So I looked on Born Pretty’s website and the BORN PRETTY Magician Stamping Top Coat is a Stamping gel. Since I have an allergy to HEMA I don’t use Born Pretty’s products. So I wouldn’t be able to try this.

Love it! I can’t believe I haven’t done any stamping - I’ll try it out now once I get some sugar skull stamping plates 😂

@@NanaNan1 I love stamping, & my clients love it too. It’s quick and easy nail art especially if you don’t have a lot of time or are in a small studio space.

Yes, you always want to top coat after you use chrome to seal it in just like any other nail art.

Regular nail polish in my opinion isn’t in pigmented enough when it comes to stamping. You really need a stamping polish. I prefer the sticky stamping polish that I showed in the video. It’s really easy and I’ve never had any problems. There are companies that make gel stamping polish, but I’ve never tried that.

I use regular polish all the time to stamp.. just make sure it's an opaque color.. people even stamp in videos all time with regular polish.. check out the stamping with regular polish video ❤

@@izanamiaiart I did give a response in my first reply. I said “I prefer the sticky stamping polish that I showed in the video.” Before I found CJS. I used to stamp with regular polish. It just didn’t work that well for me because it wasn’t pigmented enough. And I used to try to stamp with chrome powder and regular polish, but it wouldn’t transfer that well because the regular polish wasn’t pigmented enough. This is why I prefer a stamping polish because it is pigmented enough and it’s made for stamping. When it comes to stamping with chrome powder now that CJS has come out with the sticky stamping polish, that is what I use because it’s quicker and it’s easier. Before the sticky stamping polish, it was a little bit trickier to stamp with chrome powder, and in my opinion, it was slightly a little bit messier.

Do they nails have a cured top coat on and sticky layer wiped off before adding the stamps? Then do you top again with a gel top coat or stamping top coat?

Yes, the nails have a top coat on before stamping. Sorry I forgot to mention that in the video. I stamped on top of a tack free top coat. Then when I’m done stamping with the chrome you need you need to top coat again with a shiny or a matte top coat or the chrome won’t stay on the nail it will come off.

Is there a way to do this without a sticky stamping polish? I don't have one so I'm hoping there's some other way I can do it 🙈

Some companies will make a gel stamping polish. You can use that if you can’t get a hold of the sticky stamping polish.

I stamp with regular stamping polish.. usually black. Cover a stamper you don't care about with desired powders and just stamp as you usually do.. when you transfer your image your powders are there.. sounds weird but just give it a try ❤

There's also other videos on here stamping with powders.. you do not need sticky stamping polish..
