What number #1 will you apply next time to be a stand out candidate?

My #1 take away is, it’s not personal. Of the company does not hire me, it’s definitely their loss

Wow this helped a lot. I've been job searching for four months and started getting into an insecure dark place but your video helped me to snap out of it. Thank you.

This was smart. Very detailed in all the places rarely touched on. The deep dive into a candidate's mentality is a very cool and useful angle. Thanks for sharing!

Big, big THUMBS UP! Good message to send out to your podcast audience.

Now that I think about it, you could recycle the audio from many of these videos and turn them into podcasts by just downloading the audio and using an audio editor to tack on an intro like "These are some of the Greatest Hits from my KZbin channel. Hope you enjoy.". A lot of people walk and do other things while listening to podcasts and can't stream videos to listen to due to data restrictions. They want audio-only podcasts. So much perfectly relevant content in these older gems.

What was most useful for me was understanding how neediness might show up in an interview and how finding sufficiency in where I am right now can have me show up as a standout candidate.

I have been that average candidate so many times! Both the promotions I had in the last few years came after having a practice interview with a colleague first.

First - love your videos! I come from a business owner perspective. Your message and advice is really fantastic. 💜 Second - I have to make a comment around the low cost blog writing. This is my specialty and talking about finding this content for a low cost to get the job upsets me. I am worth a good wage just as much as the candidate apply for the job is. We - content creators - bring value to the people we work for. Insinuating that we can be bought for cheap makes me sad. It's something I battled in the fine arts as well. 🤓

Totally and my point is more that if it's not someone's strength that they don't agree to do it. The cost isn't really the point. I agree that good content writers deserve to be paid well, what I mean is that outsource it to someone who loves it (if you love it then great) but the example is to illustrate, discern what you're good at and what you're not and don''t be afraid to suggest outsourcing it to someone else who's speciality it is. I agree though, If I could go back and change the wording I would take out the cost all together, doesn't need to be low cost.
