With Shorts, I haven't seen them contribute hugely to video view count/subscribers BUT you can get a lot of new eyes on your content and your channel, which may eventually convert into growth. I always repost content I make on Instagram/TikTok onto Shorts rather than creating bespoke Shorts content and I think it works well :) No need to spend loads of time creating them but a good experiment to see if you can target new viewers. Do you think using first and last name or just first name and use something for reading like (your name’s book nook or your channels name? Plz help, I’m struggling with what is better.

Hi! Honestly, I really don't think channel names matter. There's lots of successful BookTube channels that are just a first/last name. However, if there's a particular niche or focus you'll be bringing to your channel, sometimes it's helpful for viewers to see that in your channel name! Best of luck with your channel :)

Hi! I think if you’ve only had your channel active for a few months you can swap to making booktube content without making a new channel - but make sure to update your KZbin handle, channel art, and your content to be booktube focused so viewers can clearly see what your niche is.
