I have Logic to record my audio in, what are my best options to make sure that it sounds good and not have a lot of room sound? I have an SM7B connected to an Apollo Twin, on there I use the Neve 1073 and the Tubetech Compressor MKii and I try to put a gate to block room sounds (i live next to a highway) and I can’t get clean audio like you just did. Am I doing something wrong? Any tips would help, is there maybe a better program to record my audio in that is specifically made for podcasts? Anything helps! Thanks in advance!

Hey! I might be wrong but you probably are set with gear.. possibly a cloud lifter would help you keep your Gain down and help a little. However You need to sound treat your room.. don't matter how good of gear you have if the room is loud the mic will pick that up. Try building a little box around you're mic just out of pillows and do a test recording and listen to how much better it sounds.

I have cl-z cloudlifter it really helps the shure sm7b mic 🎤 and u can change the impedance of the mic

What editing software do you recommend?

I just use final cut pro because thats what I'm use too. But you could use garage band or other cheap/free software.

Good tip on the closet for better sound. Then, if you want to sound like Elvis for a clip, record in the bathroom. :-)

What camera do you use? I want to use iPhone and get sound from both speakers. Having issues with only mono or left speaker only.

hmm thats interesting you should be getting both speakers when you record on an iPhone..

@@JoshuaThomasGray i use shure sm7b and focusrite 2i2 with cloud pre amp. usb power hub. all the good stuff. When i upload the video people say it comes out of only one speaker. I am so close haha
