Noob question here: when you’re interviewing someone who’s in a different location, do they record their own audio and send it to you so that you can edit it in with yours, or are you recording their audio as well? I can’t spend much money up front, and the people I’ll be chatting with can’t do that either, so it needs to be as easy as possible. Be kind, I’m totally new to this idea lol. Thanks!

I'm brand new to getting started in podcasting. My question is, Do you have to have every piece of equipment to get started? Could I just use my microphone and audio interface and directly record and edit via my PC desktop? I think I may use Audacity. But, I am having difficulty in setting up the microphone with Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd generation. That's all the equipment I have for now. Have you got a video tutorial on this audio equipment please? I just want to get started. Thanks for a great video so far though! :)

Hey there, thank you for this amazing video and many more that I'm sure I will be looking into. I have a question that I hope is not a stupid question ... I know Podcasting is a listening platform but what about if your Podcast idea or show is interviewing others not just with audio but with video? What format or platform can you use if you want people to "Watch" your podcast? Is it just simply setting up a camera filming your Podcast? Sorry if this is a stupid question I'm just not sure how all of this actually works. Do you have a video explaining this that I can watch? Thank you very much for your help.
@Buzzsprout8 ай бұрын
Hi there, Dwayne! Glad you found this video helpful! Regarding your question about video podcasts, yes, setting up a camera to record your sessions is the way to go. KZbin is a great platform for sharing video podcasts. While we don’t have a specific video on this topic yet, the key principles of engaging content remain the same for both audio and video formats. I hope that helps! In case you have specific questions or have other concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out or email us at support@buzzsprout.com.

How do you avoid mic bleed when recording with 2 or more mics?
@Buzzsprout2 жыл бұрын
The best is to use dynamic microphones like the Samson Q2U. They're directional, so they don't pick up much background noise. Then sit across the table from your co-host so the mics are pointed in the opposite direction. That way you won't get any bleed!

4:45 This boom arm does NOT work well with any microphone. It's not good buddies with the SM7B because of the placement of the XLR connector on the SM7B. The XLR plug gets in the way of the hinge of the arm, making it less flexible.

1:35: why not buy Blue Yeti? I had one and it was one of those deals where i had to fight the plug to connect the thing… Which wore out the plug and broke… And the time it took for the attrition was perfect for yeti because that put me out of warranty… I really think this is part of their marketing plan… The part they don’t show the customer or the world… By the way, if you get rid of saying “a ton of…“ You will sharpen up your presentation dramatically… It’s the little things that make the biggest difference… Let the girls who just graduated college use that silly word with the silly enunciation… You are better than that…
