Great Video! You remind me of Corey Wayne! He's a coach with a similar story as you. Same situation. Didnt make shit at first but he believed strongly like you. He left a great career in real estate to be online coach. Went from 6 figures to sleeping on his dads couch to be a coach. You confirmed my suspicion about making it as digital nomad work, kind of hyped lifestyle! I am starting a photography service in Las Vegas and couldn't agree with you more. it seems like a product/service biz at the same time. I do think your advise about being minimalist entrep. should be applied for home biz as well. Don't own, just rent, keep minimal furniture and stuff and just focus on building your business. Live and operate in affordable big towns like Vegas or Indianapolis, where rent is cheap. Real Estate Agents are the best for picking up quick work. They are easy to meet and offer service to. From painting, cleaning, photography, social media mgnt, lawncare, pet-care, trade work, etc. Yeah you know what you're talking about, service work is fast start up and good pay but not a formula for getting rich. Brick and mortar? I dont get why anyone would bother.

Thanks Sean. And yep, very hyped lifestyle, most of the guys selling digital nomad lifestyle make there money off of guys buying into the lifestyle (and not that much I might add). Agreed on minimalist entrepreneurship as well, very hard to fail when you have minimal expenses. Agreed on all your points as well, sounds like you're going to do well in photography.

I would really like to do online service-based businesses, such as web design, web development, graphic design, etc. My only concern is that those in the developing world such as Philippines and India can offer same services at high quality but for lower prices. Could you please give me some advice that addresses this concerns? Thank you.

Will, I have just started my online products based business. I also write E-books and have a site. In your experience, which avenue generates the most passive income. Do you generate the most money through traffic to your site, and using affiliate marketing, sale of your E-Books, or the combination of the two. Or is there another vehicle of revenue gained through another means of E-Business? I have your videos in the background at work/my house pretty much 24/7. I really enjoy your platform and approach. I unfortunately, and in middle management, and cant devote the time for my e-biz as I would like. Keep up the great work, will.

I want to start up a computer/cell phone repair business on the 5Miles app. I would use Craigslist, but that is no longer free. I've posted my listings, but I haven't gotten a response as quickly as I did on Craigslist. Based on my personal analysis, I think majority of people in my area are not aware that they can find my particular services on 5Miles. What would you suggest me to do, in order to get more people aware that they can find my particular services on 5Miles? And I do not want to rely completely on online/mobile, I only want to use 5Miles as a stepping stone, what I really need is word-of-mouth. I know an older man who started a house-call massage therapy business back in the '80s. No internet, no Craigslist, no Facebook, primarily word-of-mouth.

Hi will thanks for the video again . When you say shovelling driveways do you mean get clients then subcontract the work to other peaple ? Thanks
@RevolutionaryLifestyleDesign
@RevolutionaryLifestyleDesign 7 жыл бұрын
Thank you, and no I mean doing it yourself, you won't be able to afford to subcontract until you get enough clients, when starting any business you have to do everything yourself until you get money coming in so that you can either automate or subcontract. With that said, shovelling driveways is just an example, it def woulnd't be the first business I would start.

Some good content here man. Not sure if I agree with not being able to turn passion into profit. Sure, you have to be strategic and have the proper perspective. There is typically a way though. In the long term it pays off. Money alone can get empty man. Its why there are very depressed rich people. They have the money but don't really have the success.

@RevolutionaryLifestyleDesign

If you're living in the west, I'd say until you've been making six figures for a few years at least, got yourself into a small/mid sized cities where rent is reasonable and the weather is good. The west is incredibly expensive, so you need to have your finances handled plus a good chunk of savings. If you want to live in the developing world you can do it on $4k a month. Then you need to hhave a good girl, and have the strong belief that 1) children will make you at least 15% happier every day and 2) that you have the patience, emotional control and dedication to be an excellent father. For most guys that's mid to late 30's.

I'm stuck between step 4 and 5. I don't know where to start looking for my first customer. Being proficient in website design, java, c++ and a few other languages is nice and all but the only access to customers I can see is going to a freelancer site and letting them take a portion of my income for access to clients. If you were sitting at your desk right now with 0 clients, what's the first thing you would do to get your first customer in need of a website or programming help?
@RevolutionaryLifestyleDesign
@RevolutionaryLifestyleDesign 8 жыл бұрын
Hey Jayckob, the first thing I would do is hop on upwork and create a profile. Then I'd undercut the going rate by half and reply to as many possible job offers than you can in your field. Then I'd service the hell out of all my clients and make sure to ask for a review in a friendly way. I would do that for the first year, focusing on completing as many projects as you could. Look at the first year on upwork as doing nothing but building your rep, forget about making money. Then as the five star reviews flood in, I'd slowly scale up my hourly rate slowly in accordance with the amount of reviews I have and eventually charge a premium price. You want to get to the point where you're charging at the top rate in your field. Not only will this get you some quick cash per hour but you'll get access to the best clients. The guy that's willing to pay $75 an hour is the guy who is willing to pay you $1,000 a month to handle his tech problems. Year 2 and 3 on upwork your goals are getting paid good cash for quick hourly rate jobs, but most importantly pulling clients off the site and making them consistent, monthly paying clients. And don't worry about upwork telling you not to negotiate with clients directly. Once you've done 3 or 4 jobs for the guy he'll be happy to communicate with you. The key to getting and keeping monthly clients is to understand his business and find the guys pain points. Once you do that, make yourself available to solve as many of his problems as possible. Always be thinking, what else can I do for my clients, the more problems you can solve, the more money you can make. Next I would find a niche within programming and set up a website that caters specifically to that niche. Even just setting up simple wordpress sites for tech unfriendly businesses can pay you decent cash. You could geotarget local or go international specializing in say websites for mining companies. Small to mid size mining companies usually have a ton of cash but their run by old guys who don't know anything about tech. Once you find your niche setup the adwords and facebook ads - youll need at least a $200 price point per service to make these viable btw. Just do your adwords research to make sure you can compete in that niche. With that said there are so many underserved niches as far as tech services go it's not even funny. Next I'd start pounding out cold calls and cold emails. In sales I could get 40k a month from those two things alone, specifically 100 cold calls a day. If you pound out 100 cold calls to local businesses in need of a website (ones that have terrible websites), specifically if you tell them you specialize in their industry, you can't not get business. Cold emails are less effective but work well for smaller companies that don't list their phone number. If you want to know how to sell you can check out my four part definitive guide to sales for free or pick up my book how to sell for $30. Hope that helps brother.

Revolutionary Lifestyle Design You don't know how much you've helped me, just signed up and I'm punching out cover letters right now, can't wait for my first client so I can hit this job out of the park. I have a few more questions about the difference between product and serviced based businesses; Where does my first payment go? With a product I can just order more of it to sell but as a service what would I be spending it on? Saving for a website would be my guess. And lastly you spoke about monthly clients and also in the video about having passive income 5-6 years in. What would be an example of that in this context? What would the source of passive income look like? How would I be earning more but working less as time goes on? As always I can't thank you enough for guiding me and can't wait to service my first client and use that money to buy your book, as they say; what goes around...
@RevolutionaryLifestyleDesign
@RevolutionaryLifestyleDesign 8 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jayckob, you won't be getting passive income, you can only get that through a product business. What you can spend your money on is advertising, tigtening up your own website and ultimately, outsourcing your grunt work to other people as you scale up.
