I opened my KZbin account last month on another account but haven't posted my 1st video yet. I was so surprised that I had 5 subscribers on this account when I never posted anything. I think it might be what I shared in other videos about what I witnessed during the Vietnam War. So I decided to start a KZbin channel sharing what I witnessed and honoring a dying soldier's last request--to remember him. I just need to be a little more confident in myself first

My "afraid to start" story is a bit different to most. I come from a music video director background and have thousands of dollars worth of professional cameras, lenses, lighting and gear as well as a solid knowledge of framing, composition and editing, so it seemed like a no brainer to start my cooking KZbin channel right? It took me almost 6 years behind the camera creating other people's content before I was finally brave enough to step in front myself. I gave every excuse under the sun; my kitchen is too small. I need X piece of gear first. I need to build a studio and a set first. It was all just excuses for why I hadn't just hit record yet. I finally uploaded my first vid a month ago and i'm still learning to get comfortable in front of the camera and hyping myself up but I know the more I create the better i'll get. I'm not used to talking myself up or promoting myself so these kinds of videos really help. Tl;dr a music video director with years of filming and editing experience was scared of starting her own KZbin channel because she was too judgemental of herself

ah good one! Glad you started!! I was a make-up artist...singer...voice coach...author, etc. ...and it has taken a long time to start. Made my first video a week ago and it looks fine (although in vertical and only 48 seconds) I made several longer versions in landscape and on playback saw I wasn't looking into the camera which was weird. I am using a smartphone with a round light and clip on mic. I got so sick of coming up with another excuse and now it all begins. My storyline is Your VOICE & More...which will easily morph into Your FACE & More (how to touch your face for a natural facelift)....Your Breath & More etc... I have mountains of experience and I love to help and teach... We just have to come out from behind the camera!

I just watched a video that you posted in 2020. You wanted to know the why. My name is Mike I am 66 years old. I was forced into retirement because of my health. I have been battling cancer and winning my for the last four years. Then I signed up for a trial that went bad. It destroyed the nerve endings in my legs. No treatment they can only treat the pain. And the pain is, well it's not good. I haven't started a channel yet but I am close. I now have a reason to get out of bed beside a doctor's appointment.
