How to start light rock fishing - basic lrf gear. Have I got it right????

I'm going on holiday to cornwall soon and we're staying on the coast so I thought I'd try my hand at light rock fishing in the evenings to hopefully catch some of the UKs mini sea species.
I've got some basic lrf gear and pilfered a rod and reel from our coarse tackle.
I'm a complete beginner at this type of angling so hopefully I'm on the right path with the gear I've bought to start light rock fishing.
If you've got any tips on how to start light rock fishing, please let me know in the comments.

I went Mullion harbour on the Lizard similar tackle to what you have used fresh ragworm caught many Wrasse but gear handled it!

I suggest you to buy a few jig heads and a bunch of small metal jigs

Thanks, I had little success with the setup here. Took a few small metal spinners too. Think I had the tide, conditions and time of day wrong.
