no Zane, to be correct, rosary is similar to mala, because mala pre- dates rosery

In Zen the idea is to use it to remember we have to breathe and we are always close to death ... is a reminder... some says in Zen is meant to be just a pain in the ass... just to remember... I like it in that way though.
