Wow good ones! I teach the same progression and that feet tapping each other is also one way to cue yourself that your legs are in the centre or close to it! 😍

Thank you very much coach, the kick up is ok for me but I have stagnated forever in the balancing itself, could you make a video about it and if there are drills to improve it? I have seen videos with the usual hints like spider fingers, controlling with the palms/wrists and fingers, etc. but I can´t balance for more than 3 seconds after many years. Headstands and other simple forms like frogstand and tuck planche are ok though.

We have a handful of HS tutorial videos on our channel here that would surely be helpful. But what might be best for you is to download our Power Monkey Training App. We have a program in there specifically to help get you your first handstand. All of the plans are assessment-based, so its tailored to precisely what YOU need as an athlete. Give it a look...I think you will get a lot out of it. http:www.powermonkeytraining.com

Love the tutorial! I think the wall is the best frd when learning the kickup alone. For me i am still working to move away from the wall and what is stopping me is the fear of falling on my back - will you create a tutorial on how to how to bail?

Hi! If you follow the progressions we outlined here they will assist in building that confidence that youre talking about. However!! We do have a video about how to safely bail out of a handstand :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpiciWNvl9VkrdE

Dave i like a lot your beginer gymnastic videos. Can you do videos for those who train five days a weak and what to do each session during one hour of training including rest periods? From mobility, strechting and strength gymnastic exercices. So one can get better at the long run. After you finished you begginer 5 days a weak series you could do the same for intermediate people. That would be great.

Great drills dave, when I'm practicing handstand i realized that when my friend spot me i can hold the handstand much longer but when i kick up by myself sometimes i catch it just for a few seconds before i lose control, what do you recommend?

One of our favorite drills to build the ability to balance in a HS, is the handstand floater (which you can find in our library), pair that with our kick-up drill (also in our library) as a potent combination to gain comfort and ability to kick up to a hs.
