I'm in a long distance breakup so patience is nothing to me. I am better, happy with my life but it is empty. 1 year no contact since break. 1 year of working hard. I've been patient but I am scared. please help me, help him want to reestablish to renew and rebuild our love. . I haven't stop crying, praying. I have found the one. I believe we will reunite, through his power of miracles of restoration. Please pray with me

I was expecting to hear how to deal with forgiveness. But all I hear is what Christ expects from us which is forgiveness. But how does on get closure, healing, and then forgive?

In his other KZbin teaching on forgiveness, he explains how forgiveness is the beginning of our healing. I am finding that closure comes after choosing to forgive because Jesus knew what He was doing telling us to forgive. It's the beginning point of both healing and closure, the cleansing and binding up of our wounds. Jesse's wife April Brown

I was hoping this would address adult child estrangement .

It is a process and you have to do the healing work. You dont just feel better overnight. I am crying today just now at 51 of my dad's abandonment of me and my brother's.

Lauri Snipes ...can I just encourage you to pick up the phone or write a letter and tell your child how sorry you are for anything you have done (or..all the things you have done), that has hurt them & caused pain..'and will you please forgive me'.And..'I am here for you & would be happy for us to pick up and go on from this day forward, when/if you are ready. If you want to get some things off your chest..let me have it. AND..if they do..just say: 'okay, I see, anything else..all did. .what else'..until they have exhausted the self. Then commiserate with them or whatever but don't try n justify yourself. .just accept or maybe say..I'm sorry. I never meant to intentionally hurt you or I didn't see it that way..but mostly let them vent. It will all be over after it & things will be different..but do be prepared to be stung but realize it will be worth it..love is greater. Don't be afraid to admit you may have been wrong or that you just weren't right even if you were! You may helping them for future with their own & one day they'll see that being a parent isn't easy..no one gets it all right. Honestly..it is that easy. Take the risk..be the bigger person..I think it's up to us parents to reach out & do the right thing. Maybe I'm way off & in that case just let this message go. Bless you.

CARNALITY - It's the Grace and Glory of God that brings all these things about for AFTER ALL - God gets the Glory - not our carnal understanding of scripture
