In my life I’ve lost everything more often than not. Full homes gone etc. I’ve lived without until finally realizing Attachments is the key to all suffering. Even attachments towards people. Now I live with abundance. Thanks to Eckhart.

"Our world today is about speed. Everyone seems to be in a rush, yet most of people are unsatisfied; and, they have no clue where they're going. Chasing the next best thing is a fruitless endeavor. It's the rare person who slows down to enjoy the present moment, regardless of its nature." (30 Days to Reduce Anxiety, by Harper Daniels). This small mindfulness book and The Power of Now have been so helpful to me. It's important to slow down and detach.

I honestly still have a way to go. Some days especially my mornings I can enjoy every moment as it comes; the running, chilling by the sun, music and a cold bath but when I have to go to work I can feel my resistance ascending and my ego driving me to old patterns and habits. And then I start thinking; “I’ve got to make these numbers, I need new strategy, blah blah as my resistance intensifies”. It can be challenging but I do have a feeling of how I can best operate in presence even in a job that I don’t necessarily love I just have to keep practicing fully understanding that ultimately “I am here now, all of me is here now “. Thank you always Mr Tolle.

The key idea of the video is that accepting loss, taking responsibility for one's life, and living with presence and mindfulness are essential for creating abundance and experiencing a high-quality life. 00:00 💡 Acceptance of loss is crucial before taking action to create new forms of abundance, as resigning oneself to the loss leads to suffering and negative reactions. 02:16 💡 Acceptance of what is and listening within to determine what needs to be done are key steps in taking responsibility for your life and creating abundance. 03:56 🤔 If what you do is primarily a means to an end rather than an end in itself, it leads to unhappiness and lack of fulfillment. 05:13 🔑 Taking responsibility for your life means being present and mindful in your actions, rather than viewing them as mere means to an end, as constantly seeking the next moment leads to a low-quality life lacking presence. 07:26 🔑 The value of your life is determined by its quality, not quantity, and this includes enjoying quality time with others and engaging in activities beyond work. 08:41 🔑 Living a life of high quality is not determined by the city you live in, but by giving full attention to what you do. 09:45 👉 Choose to approach every action in your life with presence and without stress, reluctance, impatience, or irritation, as these negative emotions only serve to lower the quality of your life and reinforce your false sense of self. 11:08 💡 By removing resistance patterns such as complaining, wanting to be elsewhere, irritation, impatience, and stress, one can experience a complete transformation in their life without changing their external circumstances.

People think that different situations, for example, losing a home, job, car, investments, relationship, or even health, require different essential treatment, responses, or actions. They don't. The details of the situation or loss are incidental. They all first require acceptance of what is, what cannot be changed. This is always the first step in reducing, alleviating, or processing suffering. This is because FROM acceptance, stillness, peace, and inner spaciousness, right view, right thought, right speech, and right action rise naturally. From acceptance and inner spaciousness, you will be naturally empowered to figure out what's in your best interest moving forward and what to do about it. Am I primarily serving my ego, to inflate my self-image? Am I creating suffering for myself and others? Am I trying to escape the present moment? These are all the essential, fundamental questions we should be regularly asking ourselves in any given situation.

Hyperinflation and recession this decade made a lot of people lose their adulthoods and regress that they cannot be independent anymore. Before recession and inflation, if I had made what I make and had the savings I had today, I would have been able to become a complete adult with a house and full control of my destiny. The socioeconomic conditions prevented many to be independent, responsible adults, in my opinion. Hence, this sociological phenomenon.
