When I was going through flight training for my NPPL in the noughties, I found the "Why's" invaluable. It really reinforced my understanding of an aircraft and why we do certain things. (Exampe: 'ensuring the wiper switch is 'OFF'). Now that I understand how costly a mistake this would be in the real world, I'm less likely to miss or deliberately skip this from the checklist in future. Getting to know your aircraft and the reasons you do things is so important and It's great that you include these comments and remarks in your video's.

I believe you turn off and on the batteries to check the voltage go down a bit then back up to 28V. It is to make sure they're running and charging correctly

Having a quick look on my break. Looking forward to watching it carefully tonight. Still don't know the actual step by step process when loading the aircraft and using Simbrief. I know there's a way of adjusting the load and fuel in the plane instead of the MSFS menu, but haven't got the hang of it. ;(

is there a way to AUTO start the PLANE ? I keep having issues starting the engines, then I dont , then I do again. So rather than starting over it would be nice to do an Auto Start which is easy in XPLANE .

Hi, I have a question that the "apu gen" is showing "off", when I click the battery 1+2 and will not extinguished, there is display of "apu gen off" in the ECAM, so when the external power is removed then all the display are off, thank you for your help.

You need to press the APU master button to on and then press the start button below that. Once APU has started up it will say APU Avail. Don't forget APU bleeds ON before Engine start

@@RealSimPilot thank you for the reply, but the problem is your youtube above the "apu gen" not showing "off" and shows "FAUT" in yellow color, but mine shows "off" always? the APU has started up it will say APU Avail, but showed "APU GEN off" by the way, it was fine before and only happened recently, I reload the FBW experimental version again, but stay the same.

Ok, the whole event is that I accidentally touched the toggle switch which I assigned for apu function, so it stays "off" all the time, now I can move to the cockpit and conclude the flight vector hotel hotel hotel to romeo charlie tango papa. anyway thank you again, the video of the checklists procedures expressed easy but detailed, it is great.

That shouldn't happen once the engines are running. Are the fuel pumps on?

My aircraft won't start for some reason... it will start then shut down. Not sure if it's a bug but any idea how to fix it?

I have that trouble off and on...your issue sounds like you have a button assigned that defeats the start up ? Battery toggle ? Fuel Shut off ? check all of the assigned switches in MSFS by assignment, or by Device Entry. I find sometimes I have two functions assigned to the same button, unintentionally.

You can skip all the checks and just power up and start the aircraft if you wish.

@@RealSimPilot when i start at the gate i hear engine sounds running but i keep getting press ctrl e to turn on engines. Weird because it used to be ready to go. Also I can't figure out for the life of me why my efb pad display is different than everything i see on youtube. I'm trying to calibrate the throttle and that doesn't even show up. And all my options are along the left side of the pad not across the top.

I would try do a fresh install of the mod and see if that fixes your problems.
