Question...have you ever gotten white mold? Looks like clear jellyfish in my saltwater pool. Wondering where it comes from and if you have ever experienced it. not sure how to get rid of it.

I've heard you should maintain a minimum ratio of 7.5% of free chlorine to cyanuric acid. So, if you have 60 ppm CYA, then your chlorine level should be at least 4.5 ppm. This is much higher than the 1 to 3 ppm you recommend. From my experience, less than 4 ppm chlorine results in certain algae growth.

That ratio is true for regular chlorine pools. But salt water pools tend to need a ratio closer to 5% because they're continuously producing chlorine. So 5% of 60 PPM CYA is 3 PPM

So my CYA in my salt water pool is only 2, have do I raise it?
@SwimUniversity4 ай бұрын
Are you looking at CYA? It would be almost impossible to read it as "2" since it's measured in larger increments, usually by 10 PPM. And yes, it should be higher!

Definitely 2, free Chlor - 0.01 total Chlor 0.02, ph 7.54 and TA is 101.

You need more chlorine and CYA in the water. You can shock your pool with Dichlor shock to raise both.
