Hello Ar. There is a question. How are you able to renew your IAPOA in the website if they do not acknowledge PIA and LRA as the the website is being handled by the UAP? They disabled the payment button to renew. They are also requiring UAP Cert of Good Moral/Standing for apprentices application of exams and will this affect renewal of PRC ID? I know that the IAPOA is and should be the umbrella organization of all architectural organizations. So why does it seem that the UAP is trying to take hold to control everything and acting as the IAPOA?

Competition is there but the most challenging one is magbigay ng tamang presyo lalo na for the designs. Siyempre di naman po natin pwedeng ipilit lalo na pag tight budget si client. Madalas namamahalan sila and lagi ko na-eencounter na sinasabi ng mga client e sa city engineering or municipal engineering nalang sila magpapadesign kasi mura. I'm wondering maestro if allowed po ba magdesign ang mga taga office of the building official considering sila po ung approving body for building permit?

I also secured DTI trade name to open my Architectural firm not knowing that my name as an Architect is allowed to do so.Worst is I registered that business trade name in BIR which will reflect on the tax receipt. I processed this just last week (too bad that I watch this video too late). My question right now is, how am I going to settle this with BIR ? Is it possible to re apply again with my name solely written on the receipt and changing the status from Business to Professional practice? Thanks in advance Sir. Your reply would be a great help. Hi William. "Sole practice" is used in a professional capacity like practice of profession, while "sole proprietorship" is used as an owner of a business. To describe, you may own a business as a sole proprietor... But you cannot own a profession because only the authority to practice is the one granted to you by the State, the State is the sole proprietor of our profession, we are only granter of a privileged to practice. 😉 Good luck!

"Business is for personal gain for profit", while practice of profession although you are gaining something is for "Puclic Service".
