I was COMPLETELY blown away when my Luxray and my Eevee started talking to each other. And then I was BLOWN again when I went out into the wild and there was just a wild Onyx sleeping. Game Freak did SUCH a good job this time with making all of these pokemon feel like actual living beings.

The amount of personality They added to each Pokémon is great. I like how glaceon was more talkative while jolteon looked ready to fight and Sylveon was sleeping. I hope that’s something that Pokémon intended and that they add more of this kind of thing to more games. Makes them seem more real and you can even have individuals with different personality traits due to having different natures. Would be really cool. Great Video man!!definitely will use eevees to round out my starting team until I figure out what I want to use

Just for you to try out if you want, I ran around having my eevee do task such as hitting trees for apricorns and ores and it seemed to significantly raise it's friendship. I never used it in a battle but by level 19 it was ready to evolve into Sylveon. G'luck and have fun!

I got my Eevees friendship high enough to evolve by level 16, I think having it collect berries and stones also increases friendship because I was having Eevee do all of that in hopes it would raise their friendship

My Eevee evolved at level 16 too. I always thought you needed an element stone to make it evolve or at least that’s how it was when I was a kid but mine evolved into an Espeon which is something I had never seen before.

Every generation where a new eeveelution appeared in use different methods of evolution. Gen 1: Stone Gen 2: Friendship during day/night Gen 4: Be near a rock in the overworld (you can use the leaf/ice stone now) Gen 6: high affection (or friendship in games that dont have it like arceus) and must have a fairy move

@@midnightflowerlivi that's not how sylveon works. If it evolved into sylveon it's because you left the move baby doll eyes (a fairy type status move and only fairy move eevee can learn naturally)in its active moveset

This is 100% true. I got my Umbreon at level 12 and Espeon around 14-15. Got a Golbat at level 22 and Crobat was already primed to evolve and its because of using the Pokemon to collect berries and break rocks etc for items!

I've noticed one eevee loves to hang out in the tall grass across the little pond where the Bidoofs spawn, and will spawn with them, but its hard to lure outside the grass, thus hard to judge when to aim. Also when leaving the camp if you hug the left cliff and work your way down towards the pond you end up right near the grass so you can dive in quickly if you spot an teevee. You got me obsessed. 5 hours plus into the tutorial and im halfway to my goal of an army of eevolutions.

I've found using the Eevee to collect materials for you helps as well, also chucking it out and speaking to it. All 3 of my friendship evo's happened before level 14.

Update. Spoke with my Zubat frequently, and it was able to evolve into Crobat as soon as it evolved into Golbat. Speaking to them seems to be OP for increasing friendship.

The Eevee I caught first (which was female, I was so happy about that!) evolved into Umbreon at lvl 15. The ones I evolved into Espeon and Sylveon were both at higher levels before I could evolve it. I think I just used my first Eevee to do all the stuff, so friendship leveled up faster.

I absolutely adore the amount of detail and personality they gave all the Pokémon in this game. It really helps enhance the immersive experience, ya know? I love that you can bring out your entire party and just vibe in a circle, and the interactions with wild Pokémon. Seeing them sleep or sit down, eat the berry, or even chase you down makes them feel real. I can see why it's best to avoid spoilers for your first Space-Time distortion. My first experience had me confused, slightly panicked, and overwhelmed in a good way. I was actually sad when it ended cause I enjoy the excitement. Also Umbreon and Jolteon are my #1 and #2 favorite Eeveelutions also Although my first Eeveelution I aimed for was Sylveon because I'd have the dark type overlap with Samurott, but also because Sylveon is a solid fairy type.

Re: Sky Tumble Stones, you can actually get them as soon as you can get the regular ones. Instead of heading straight out from the first Base Camp, go right through the rocks and you'll quickly make your way up on top of the cliffs to where there's Luxio/Luxray and Drifblims at night. Probably 5 or 6 Sky stones in that area, fully reachable as long as you can avoid battles

I am LOVING this game!! One of my biggest complaints about the mythicals having to wait for a specific event in order to get them. This game makes one obtainable, by putting in a ton of work for it, and that just makes it so rewarding! Now if I don’t get it, there’s no excuse that I missed the event because of work or something, and I feel like I EARNED it. Random comment, but whatever. Love your videos!!!

I actually got a thunderstone in the Heartwood that had just spawned on the ground, so if you're really lucky that could be another way to get a Jolteon early on without needing to use merit points.

Glaceon is so cute, it's a shame it's one of the hardest/latest to get. I knew about the spot, I found it by chance while exploring, but never saw an eevee there ever again, so I had to defeat the bidoofs, I wouldn't have thought about that! Now I can catch more eevees! I evolved my eevees into umbreon & espeon before they even reached lvl 20. I think I evolved them lvl 16-18. I think sending them out to knock on trees and rocks and feeding them berries boosts friendship a lot.

If you’re trying to get a shiny eevee if you find another outbreak save your game and reset every time you don’t get a shiny I managed to get 4 shinys on one playthogh so far

You need 5 of each Eeveelution to complete the pokedex so you can just evolve those eevees into whatever eevelution you still need more of.

If you grab the black stones where the sky stones are there is a rare chance to drop thunder stones there as well, its a really rare drop but you don't have to go through the hassle of merit points to get it and it will allow you to get jolteon before the Kleavor encounter

it is the same spawn rate as it is the same encounter table. And i found it to be faster to just respawn and sleep in teh first area instead of checking both areas. especially before Wyrdeer.

You should go into Space-TIme Distortions whenever one appears because not only will you find rare items like evolution stones and other evolution items but also randomly encounter Pokémon - among them the Eeveelutions. I caught an Espion during one of them and battled other eeveelutions as well.

Austin John really is THE GOAT. I looked at so many guides on how catch Eevees and they all just said Horseshoe Plains, some said daytime only. I would spend 15 minute in Horseshoe Plains each time. Then Austin John actually shows us the exact location and how to respawn, and I caught 5 eevees within 15 minutes. I think Austin John doesnt just make guides for content. But he genuinely is curious on the best way to play & wanna share that with us. And that’s why he has the best guides!!!

My fav Eeveelution is Umbreon, so I've got all of them (both caught and evolved), all but Umbreon, which I evolved by giving him berries and putting him to win easy fights. Half-game, I thought my Sylveon was strong so after the credits I took it out to train it and level it up even with the rest of my team and surprise, it was a scam hahahahahaha same happened with most of the other Eeveelutions, then my hope was on Umbreon but when the moment of truth came, it was even weaker than the others hahahaha so dissapointing, but hey, I already made it's pokédex entry and I'm doing all the rest of the Eeveelutions' and the normal initial Eevee, to finally put them in a box. 😅

Man 2022 has gotten off too a good start so far.. there is soooo much to play that it’s hard to dedicate time to each and every amazing title so far + games I myself love so much.. Funny thing to me is that back at the Pokémon Legends Arceus Announcement / Reveal, I saw the game and was blown away by what it was and the Hype for me automatically shot to 100+ and I was sooo excited but at the same time I was sooo bummed out cus I thought to myself “Man if the game looks like this then it has to at the very least be like 5 or so years out!! It looks like they barley started production on the game.. the damn grass and environment looks soo flat.! But man once it comes out it is going to be one hell of a fun Pokémon game I cannot wait to play” and then immediately thought “I honestly hate it when they announce games that are so far out only to then go into complete darkness for like a year and a half and only leave breadcrumbs here and there to the point to where everyone forgets about the game until we see another trailer and be like Oh Yeah that game is in the works huh.. only to not see it again for a few more years..” (Looking at YOU BOTW2!! Like how the hell do they go from “BOTW2 originally started off as another DLC project for BOTW but we kept adding new things / features and kept coming up with all these ideas that we thought why not just turn it into a sequel? This one is made of all assets from BOTW as the foundation and everything is there so it would not take too long at all to complete it” and yet here we are with still NO RELEASE DATE!!) Anyways.. those thoughts were replaced with confusion when I saw the “Coming Early 2022” I thought to myself “WHAT THE HELL?!?” “Oh this game is definitely getting delayed.. sadly” But I preordered the second it was available and between this and Dying Light 2 & Horizon 2 on PS5 + Uncharted Thieves Collection … PLUS I FREAKIN LOVE Playing Madden 22 so it’s been hard setting aside time for all these amazing titles.. what a way to start the year! And Legends Arceus really is like Pokemon’s BOTW.. it may not be the best looking game on Switch or a decent looking game at that Imo But it is fun / fresh as hell and extremely addicting to play.. I only hope they build on this formula and it basically becomes what Origins did to the Assassins Creed Series where it completely Changed the identity of the the series.. but I hope LA does it for the better.. And if we ever were to either get a follow up to Legends Arceus or for the new titles to follow suit I hope that Nintendo gives them WAY More time to develop this game so that the graphics can be mind blowing and there can be so many more great ideas and maybe ALL POKÉMON in 1 game and idk maybe hopefully finally have a damn Pokémon game LAUNCH WITH SUPPORT FOR HOME!!! I got a Totodile I been wanting to use for the longest time but he just sits there as nothing is compatible with him yet.. Only way to go is up for Legends..

Yeah, I caught an Evee during the tutorial and I was so excited to get Espeon, and then it evolved into a Sylvion because I was silly and didn't get rid of Baby doll eyes, which is fine, but I was still sad. I'm also pretty certain that you can get Thunderstones by breaking the sparkling black stones. Edit: I also got lucky and there was an Evee mass outbreak really early, and all the Evee were male, I kid you not, I have a pasture half full of Evee and they're all Male.

After I evolved my eevees I went straight for the alpha blissy and caught it. I was able to level them each up pretty high in the first two areas and got the stones I needed in a few time distortions. Thank you, John, for helping make my Eevee team dream come true.

You can get a Thunder Stone from the black rocks just like you can get Fire and Water stones from blue and red rocks

Yup, I had an espeon, umbreon, and a flareon for a while on my playthrough. It's nice that these are available early in the game as a decent option for many of the types. If given the choice, definitely go vaporeon, especially if you didn't take oshawatt. Then teach it water pulse, shadow ball, and ice beam. This will give you type coverage against the majority of the biggest pests in the game. Most of the aggressive pokemon that are everywhere (looking at you geodude, ghastly, and drifloon) are rock, ground, flying, or ghost typing. Then pick up a Graveler of your own early on to counter the shinx and poison types that are everywhere and you're pretty much good to go. Machoke is readily available and has a solid move pool as well with taught moves. The elemental punches are really powerful in this game.

Vaporeon is also great because it is a tank. Very few non-grass, non-electric pokemon have grass or electric moves. So as long as you don't throw Vaporeon out against Luxray, Vaporeon can absorb hits readily with it's extremely high health pool. Combined with it's great move list with great coverage options, Vaporeon is probably the most powerful generalist available in right from the first zone. You can get a water stone with 1000 merit points, which can be obtained by picking up lost satchels.

There are also other stones you can get from the tumblestones, the blue ones can also drop dawn stones, the black one drops dusk stones and moon stones, and the red one can also drop a shiny stone

if you are looking for high level Eeve's I recommend looking in distortion fields I always at least see 3 spawn at around lvl 45 through out the duration of the time distortion.

This, without a doubt, has to be the absolute BEST Pokémon game that I've ever had the pleasure to play. I've not even defeated Kleavor yet (because I'm a little scared lol, not sure what level he is, so grinding up my level to mid 30s) also no ride Pokémon yet either. However, I do not feel that my gameplay has been hindered in anyway because I've not progressed, (in previous games you couldn't get past a NPC because you hadn't defeated a gym leader, etc) the Obsidean fieldlands are so vast, it feels boundless. I truly hope the Pokémon company/Nintendo/GameFreak make future games in this similar fashion. It was a real hit or miss for them to make something so different to previous generations. For me, this is a massive hit. I'm not bored within a few hours of gameplay like with every other Pokémon game. I love this game

it was really cute how excited you got at them "sitting" on command. and i felt the same thanks for so many details. i have a few eevees by now, but i for example didn't know that you could evolve some with the help of those rocks.

Figuring out I had to evolve them without a fairy type move was annoying at first. But I had the same thing happen to me with my Umbreon and Espeon. I'm not sure if it was due to the catching or battling either. Funny story. I did this before I saw this video. I never cleared the bidoofs, which is why it prob. took so long. But right after I caught like 4 or 5 eevees I got a swarm in that exact location. Then I did a little bit more of story hoping I would get more elemental stone to evolve them and I get a rift which had a surprisingly large amount of eevees. So now I am swimming in eevees.

OMG I am so glad I do not have the game yet and saw this. I have always dreamed of having a team of Eevees that I raise to be each different evolution. The fact that I can do this makes me insanely happy and I cannot wait to get it! Thank you so much! My favorites are Vaporeon, Leafeon, and Glaceon. I was able to follow your instructions and I was able to get all of the eevee evolutions within about a span of four hours! This game has exceeded my expectations for what a Pokémon game could be.

Probably the nest thing about this game is how much its been switched up gameplay wise. Like...when was the last time I had to look up stuff for Eevee? Like WAT? BUT its a good thing. I feel like its truly a new experience just with some mechanics and the pokemon that Ive always loved.

Although it isn't at the beginning of the game, you can also do this tactic in the Colbalt Coastlands where the eevees have a chance to spawn if you're just filling out it's dex to perfect it. The main difference is that instead of bidoof being in the spawn pool it's skitty, and at night i think murkrow is also in the pool. Since skitty will run if it sees the player you can just chase them until they run away and despawn
