The first few workouts may make you REALLY sore, I mean really. But it does get better!!! And you’ll start to want that slight soreness to know you’re really changing your body and making good habits. Get motivation from transformation stories and staying positive. Make small changes that you can see yourself doing for the long term (ie: no fad diets or over exhausting workout plans that you can’t stick to). Motivation will run out-but you gotta dig deep and keep going. Then good things will become your habits. For me, sometimes I don’t want to get up and move, but I know the hardest part is starting. I never regret getting up and getting it done tho. 👍🏼☺️ thanks Liv for this video. Love it!

So I am really bad at keeping going. In anything. Sports. Eating healthy. Cleaning my home. Doing Skin Routines. Healthy Mind Stuff. Everything. And then I downloaded the app "fabulous" and that was really the first app that kept me going on. I'm still on the way of beeing a better me but it's the first time I really think I have a chance. (I'm not sure how to explain in english but I try) So the app was made in a university and it uses psychological knowledge and studies to strengthen your inner motivations and make things as a routine. They say that as long as it's only motivation, someday you will stop so you have to keep going until it's your strong routine. And I am studying psychology and I really recognize some things I learned in school in the app. So, hopefully I can help someone else.

My own tips: 1. You don’t need to go to a gym. Look for a space at home, open KZbin on your phone or tablet, find a workout, then proceed. 2. Start before you’re ready. If you wait until you’re ready, you’re never going to start. 3. Make modifications of exercises that you don’t like or you find difficult. I have bad knees, so I can’t jump. There are plenty of no-jump exercises online for me to choose. There are even seated exercises for seniors and those who have serious injuries, so there’s literally no excuse to not work out. 4. Go at your own pace. It’s better to go more slowly and with proper form than going faster with a possibility of injuring yourself in the process. The more often you exercise, the easier it gets and the faster you’ll be, so don’t worry about not being able to keep up. Good luck!👍🏼

my biggest problem is definitely being too anxious to go to the gym :( the thought of being there as a beginner and therefore not really knowing a lot and other people being there and seeing me... it actually scares me (and the same goes with running outside or everything where other people can see me... and working out at home is not really an option)

My biggest tip is to find a type of exercise you enjoy doing. I used to force myself to run and do cardio until I discovered my love for weights/powerlifting. Some people like running, others like hiking, or team sports, or yoga, or kickboxing, or weightlifting, rock climbing, biking, etc! There are a million possibilities - once you find an activity you really enjoy, it becomes way easier to stick with it.

@@lunaa5464 I don't really like the mentioned "traditional" exercise stuff but I love martial arts! Or sports in general. But I do love martial arts a lot! Recently due to financial situation I haven't been going to a paid class but every now and then I do stretches at home and practice some kicks. Just lightly, nothing too intense. So yeah you can do some type of sports or dance classes. Or those dance-exercise hybrid thing. Those are really fun.

Tips that help me: Do it early-when you do it early it forces your body to still be confortable because you just woke up. Use a good workout for you-I recommend the Chloe Ting two week shred because she offers a free workout program with alternatives to hard exercises. Go slowly-its very important to go at your own pace if you go to fast you will be too tired to finish the workout, but go fast enough that it feels like a workout. Have fun- While you are working out think of the benefits this will have on your body and what this will do for you, this will make you be more motivated to go through the whole thing everyday. Remember you are beautiful- everyone is beautiful just the way you are don't feel like you have to workout just to be pretty!! Good luck!

Definitely agree with doing it early. It's so hard at times but stucco an amazing habit to cultivate

1- Leave your gym/workout stuff laid out or all put away in one spot so you wont get distracted/discouraged scavenging for stuff. 2- Even the shortest workout, efforts count!! do not give up!! 3- Listen to your body. In the past I would take big breaks between workouts because I would push myself too hard. Don't overdo it, take rest days, and if you are at any point in serious pain, do not continue to exercising that part of your body.

@09echols6 жыл бұрын
If you're really interested in running, start very small. Run from light pole to light pole. Then jog from light pole to light pole (or power poles). Then walk 2 poles. Repeat for 10 minutes. Do it every other day for 2 weeks (or more until your body gets used to it). Then gradually add poles for running and jogging while reducing the walking poles for the same 10 minutes. It won't be long before you're running the whole 10 minutes. After that add 5 minutes. Run thw first 10 minutes and do the beginning interval for the next 5 minutes.

I actually started exercising again this morning before watching this. I can't tell you how many times I was determined to make exercising a routine in my life and started doing yoga/dance/aerobics/etc. And everything would go so well. I would see improvments in my overall health and get stronger and feel happy and confident but everytime something happens and I get off track. It really comes down to 1. Aknowledging that being active is good for you physically and emotionally 2. Finding something you enjoy. 3. Keeping it simple:walking/running or yoga/dance to music at home 4. Knowing that you're not the only one who feels too lazy to take care of her/himself. And I love how you touched on the same points. It's so true. What I did today was walking for 4 minutes and running for 2 for about 30-40 mins or so while listening to music came back home did some yoga. I've also been dancing to music especially in the evenings after work. Elevates my mood so much. Good luck every one!

My biggest tip that works for me is to not workout for the purpose of working out cuz then you’re just thinking of how hard it is. When you go biking, swimming, playing volleyball, badminton, tennis, horseback riding, badminton, hiking (like anything that’s a game where you can focus on getting better if it’s individual or winning if it’s a team sport), you’re not thinking of the workout part but about how fun it is:)
@gaurisrivastav_4 жыл бұрын
My tips : 1. The MOST important thing is to love what you are doing as in the time period in which you workout you have to be happy , just smile just have an imaginary conversation with the person you love while working out , just be happy when working out that is what im saying 2. Try doing cardio , if u have breathing problems then do it slow , you WILL get better 3. Remeber Rome was not built in a day , you cannot get results in one day. 4. Dont do it for seeking somebody's attention , if they dont love you the way you are then they dont deserve you . Do it for urself 5. Believe in yourself , uk what this is something personal to me but im gonna share it wid u guys , like when i used to follow workouts n then if i feel that i wont be able to do this exercise or that exercise but one day i was like uk what imma do it anyways , from that day i started saying , lets try it , if i do it well n good if i dont ill find a modification Thats all loveyys , best of luck for ur journey

I started going on a walk everyday last spring actually because I didn't realize I got to keep my free audiobook after my trial month was up 😂 then once I finished the book I stopped, but then started doing yoga everyday instead and next month will mark a year of my daily yoga practice and I'm so proud of myself, I had never done any kind of exercise before and was so unfit. Yoga is definitely the best exercise for me because you don't need any equipment (I have no money so yay) and also I don't need to get dressed or leave my house 👍

I’ve gained over 30 lbs during quarantine and it’s time for me to get myself together. I’ll do daily check-ins to show my progress and any other notes. Hopefully this will inspire me and anyone else reading this. Wish me luck! 8/31/20- Weight: 199.2 lbs (5’4) School is starting soon, I really need to get fit, I’ve never really been thin before; but that’s because I never tried hard enough! I think my goal should be 110 to 120 lbs by Christmas break. I’m tired of being disgusted at myself in the mirror, my double chin, my flabby arms, my stomach, my legs, everything is gross. I’ve managed to get even MORE stretch marks due to my fast weight gain. When people talk about it, weight loss doesn’t seem that bad, rather easy. “Just drink more water”, “go out for runs”, “go to the gym”, “eat less”. But for some reason it’s just always been so hard for me to do so. Hard breaking bad habits I guess. I went out for a walk/sprint today already (I practically died lol), I didn’t sleep last night that’s why. In Lookism, that one guy said he did 100 sit ups, 100 push ups, and a 10k jog everyday 😬 yikes I can’t do the 10k or the push ups. I can’t even do 1 push up, I can’t hold myself up. I think I’ll work on losing weight overall before I work on my arms. It seems easier. I’ll start off slow, for now, I’m doing 50 jumping jacks for every episode I finish on Netflix, 100 jumping jacks for every movie. I’m also going to be (trying to do) wall sits for the intros of TV shows (specifically anime bc their intros are so long). I also have an elliptical, so I’ll be working on that. 9/1/20- Weight: 195.2 lbs (5’4) Today was rough. I think I pushed myself too hard and now I’m really soar. I went to the dentist today, got a cleaning. My tooth is soar and the dentist said it could be a bone bruise, bc I was being stupid a I hit my head. But the fluoride that they put on my teeth was disgustingly sweet and made me lose my appetite all day. All I had was water and light cranberry juice. I’m loving the weight loss though. I should do this more often lol. 9/2/20- Weight: 193.8 I was running outside in the middle of the night and I tripped on sand lol 🙃 9/3/20- Weight: 192.4 lbs I just realized today that school starts Tuesday. Omg I’m not physically or mentally ready. It doesn’t matter though, in person classes are probably gonna end in like 3 months and we’ll go back to online classes. 9/4/20- Weight: 193.6 I’ve been doing the exact same routine. I’ve actually been eating LESS. Why am I gaining weight?! Do I need to work harder? 12/24/2020- Heyyyyyy haha so this is pretty awkward. I’m not blaming this on her or anyone at all this is just me and my personal issues. Long story short I have an ED I guess. At least that’s what my doc says, I mean I’ve had these issues before but never fully diagnosed it kind of spiraled out of control this year so yeah sorry

I used to hate working out. The main struggle for weight loss to me was the exercise. I did crappy 15 minute HIIT exercises everyday that made me so happy. Then, I found an intense dancing video, and would dance for an hour or two everyday, burning 500 - 1000 calories a day, and I've become toned and thinner in 3 months of dancing. The best trick is to find something you enjoy.

I paid for gym memberships so the losing money aspect would motivate me to use it but that sucked and I hate the monotonous routine of running or lifting weights or whatever. I tried Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instead and I absolutely love it and got pretty fit after like two weeks of doing it. Because I’m learning a new skill, it’s actually interesting and I enjoy it so the money is well spent. Try a sport or martial art if you hated monotonous exercise like me.

I used to play basketball from age 6 or 7 up to age 14. I loved it. I miss the physical health it brought me. I miss being sore after a Tuesday night of hard practice and exercising. I miss having that routine of taking care of myself mostly. My mental health has taken its toll since I was 14 (I’m 20 now) and I haven’t had regular exercise in a LONG time. I have a really hard time taking basic care of myself. But I wanna change that. really. So. Here I am lol

Few days ago I walked and run after years not doing that 😅 I thought I took it slow on myself because I walked for 15 min and then for another 15min I run for a min and walk for a min then run for a min and walked for a min .. it was soooo hard my legs were so heavy! And now my legs still hurts 💔 but I think I know now what I did wrong .. I should’ve first only walked everyday until my muscles get stronger and then give it ago again .. taking it much slower .. thank you for your video it’s simple yet helpful 🌹

wow, good luck on the 5k! Good hints and great job getting where you got. Let us know how you did. While I know that swimming is one of my most favorite exercises, but it is cost prohibited to me know. When I can I try to walk the halls of my apartment building, and when I get better I will take stairs. Just getting into a schedule helps but I have not found the best way to do that yet.

I want to start running, or just exercising at home... but i live with roomates and we are friends, but still im so shy and feel im going to be judged for it, made fun of, and is the same as if i were outside. What should i do?

I also love walking as some easy-to-get-incorperated exercise that at the same time doesn't feel like exercise. I neglected it a during the winter (because cold and grey just doesn't make for a good motivation to go outside...) and I realize now how much I missed it. I'm trying to get a walk in everyday and I manage 6/7 most weeks :) I'll go to some local parks or I can also take the bus to a forest area near me and thus it's great fun walking around! Because I enjoy being in nature and don't focus on the exercise aspect, but I mean I'm still exercising sneakily.. ;) I've also finally found a nice yoga studio again and they have a cheap trial month and I'm using the heck out of it!! After the trial month is over I will have to do yoga at home, because with the regular prize I'll only be able to go once a week (vs the trial month where you can go as often as you like!) I'm also really looking forward to swimming again in summer. I prefer swimming in lakes vs swimming pools, so it's impossible in winter. I love that you mentioned that there's some form of exercise for everyone! I used to hate everything we did at sports in school and thought I just hated it in general, but then I realized that I loved going for long walks and that's a form of exercise and I love swimming and then I discovered yoga and I absolutely love that too. So there's really something out there for everyone!

I go on long (45 minutes to 2 hours) walks all the time but if I try to run or do any other type of exercise even if it’s only for a few minutes, it leaves me so sore the next day that I’m discouraged from exercising for a long time :(

A really good way to start running is by using the Couch to 5K app made by the NHS (UK). You have a choice of four celebrities to encourage you through each run, starting slow with lots of breaks, and it makes you feel really accomplished :) Good luck guys!

Cheer yourself on ! You determine how much you move your body, the food you put in for fuel, the amount of water you drink, the quality of the supplements you take, the amount of sleep you get, all in your hands, If you want to be successful make good decision for you as it you are your own coach!

Hi Liv, how do you get over negative talk when you're getting into exercising? I have a bad relationship with food. Whenever I am sad I will eat to overcome the sadness. Now I am getting into exercising because I look horrible in the mirror and my dad said that I look like a fat pig ,he said I should really stop eating. My progress has been unstable for months, sometimes I am 55kg , and sometimes I am 65kg ( I am 164cm tall). But I did not look good when I was 55kg I lost hair. Now that i am 65kg still gaining , my self confidence has really taking a toll on me. When i exercise , i keep telling myself i cant do it

I definitely find that exercising to change my body in some way makes me have more negative self talk than exercising because it makes me feel happy or makes me feel less stressed. I definitely think if it’s something you struggle with on a consistent basis you should talk to someone! I’m sorry you don’t have a supportive figure in your life, you don’t deserve anything but love and happiness ❤️❤️❤️ take care of yourself and if you need help, seek it!!! Sending you the biggest hug xo
